Super User LgMouthGambler Posted April 22, 2012 Super User Posted April 22, 2012 If you had to give up all your reels but 1, which one would you keep, and why. I would keep my Curado 50E. Its soo smooth and versitile, and its just soo much fun to fish. Feels great in the hand, and never fails me. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted April 23, 2012 Super User Posted April 23, 2012 Calcutta 100TEDC. Why? Because it's heavy enough for jigs, small swimbaits and spinnerbaits yet small enough for Senkos, worms and cranks. And, IMO, is the most durable reel on the market and has been for years. Quote

Super User Hi Salenity Posted April 23, 2012 Super User Posted April 23, 2012 I'd give up my Core 50 and keep my Lew's TP. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted April 23, 2012 Super User Posted April 23, 2012 I would probably keep my curado because I like it. Quote
Ima Bass Ninja Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 i would keep my carbonlite...no wait maybe my president..........no i would probably keep my PQ........ahh heck i love em all just glad i don't have to make that choice.. Quote
tugsandpulls Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 i would keep my shimano caenan 101 its the best reel i have so far that i can afford ( gotta save up for my bass boat ) Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted April 23, 2012 Super User Posted April 23, 2012 Shimano conquest 50. I have fallen in love with it ever since I took it out of the box. 1 Quote
0119 Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 My Abu 4500C. It will never die, only gets smoother and theres no infinite anti reverse to give out. Quote
Super User Catt Posted April 23, 2012 Super User Posted April 23, 2012 Shimano Calcutta 100A: Solid as an anvil, versitile as a pair of Channellocks, dependable as a 30/30 Quote
Mike__D Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 By far not the most popular choice but I would have to choose the Pflueger Patriarch XT. This reels has gone so far above expectation it still surprises me. I have always been a shimano guy, but after using the Patriarch I am convinced that Pflueger is definitely capable of making products that either compete with the bigger names or even surpasses the mainstream stuff. KCL655321 Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Probably my MGX-SHS, although having that high of a gear ratio would suck on moving baits. But for jigs/t-rigs & the like, it works like a charm & I've come to really like it this spring. Second would probably be my Premier or TP1S if I wanted a low speed reel. Quote
Kevinator1 Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I would say my new Chronarchs or my Revos but if my lower priced Lews Speed Spool keeps proving itself like it has over the last 5 weeks, I'm not too sure it might be the one. Quote
RyneB Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 i have 8 Revo S's. And thats all the reels i own. Sooooo id keep a Revo Quote
loodkop Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I have a Calcutta 150 that I got from my wife after winning the South African artificial lure champs. Although I don't use it that much anymore it is the one reel I could never get rid off. Quote
Stasher1 Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Ryobi Zauber 1000. It's all metal, butter smooth, has a great drag, and is just dang sexy (imho). It has the perfect balance of size, capacity, and weight for the 7' Browning HiPower it's currently mounted on. Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted April 25, 2012 Global Moderator Posted April 25, 2012 I don't have any of the high dollar reels most of you fellas use, but I do love my PQ more than anything I've ever used. Mike Quote
