Lake Erie was very good to me last week.

My previous PB was 5-2.

I landed a 5-9 and then a few days later ~ a 6-4 !

Thanks Dwight !

A-Jay are you sure that big girl only weighed 6-4? She looks mighty plump.

Awesome fish! Looks like you had a great time!

The same thing happened to me 2 years ago...I went on Monday, and caught my new PB. I was so excited about catching her, that I arranged my schedule so I could take Fri off of work as well. Well, wouldn't you know, I ended up besting my just-set record again!

Congrats on your Footballs :)

Where do you catch your big fish? SML?

Nodda - I have been SML a lot more lately, as I have been living in Burnt Chimney (used to live in Botetourt about 5 mins from the Cove!); and I have caught numerous lmb in the 4-5 lb range; however, I have never caught any toads there (smb or lmb).

Most of my big smb come from the New or James River.

I've always wanted to fish SML and James River. We have 2 boats but my truck doesn't have a hitch so usually we take my dad's truck on Fri - Sun we go to Carvins Cove. I live off Williamson / 10th St.

We bought a 16 or 17 ft boat for $600 last year, has a great running 85hp (or 115hp, can't remember, only took the boat out once last year) mercury (had to rewire the starter and put a new spark plug in) and a 55 lb trolling motor with foot pedal, 2 live wells, 2 GPS, and a radio in the steering console. It's not a bass boat but it's close enough considering it was cheap as dirt.
