So I got bored last night after class and decided I'd try my hand at two tone painting a Swim Jig to look better with the skirt. Came out pretty good I think.

Looks great Mumpy14, only constructive criticism I would give is would it be better to have the blue on the top of the jig head to mimic a "blue back" look I think you may have been going for...

Just my 2 cents, otherwise great looking jig.

I did put the blue on the top, or are you talking about putting the Blue on the side where the Weedguard is at?

Yep, the blue goes on top which is were the weedguard is as the weedguard is on the top of the jig. I know exactly what you were doing, I still do it as I'll be painting spinnerbaits and then go and do some jigs and mess it up as I do them upside down. I think it does look good however, the flake is a nice touch and I don't think the colors being flipped will make a difference as it is a swim jig that will be moving so as long as it has the basic color it will work and it is a very nice paint job, I'd feel good using it that is for sure.

Ok, that's the reason I wanted clarification on which side you were calling the top. I intentionally put the blue on that side because it's a swimming jig. I fish these like a bladeless spinnerbait. This is the right side to be painted for a swimming jig. I do however want to thank you for your comment though, because I'm wanting to start doing the same thing with Regular Jigs and I hadn't thought of painting the weedguard side. Thank you

Nice looking bait Mumpy. Sometimes making something different than the ordinary gets more bites.
