It's a Horse Race here on Bull Shoals. They caught the snot out of 'em yesterday when it was 77 and Sunny. But today it's chilly and wet.

I am soooooooooo impressed!

About a decade ago I had one of my best days ever catching some variety, but mostly smallmouth.

Fishing with my friend and guide, Tim "Hotdawg" Curtis, we never went fifteen minutes without a fish

on for two and a half days. I have never had a day or heard of anyone else having a day like that on

The Bull. This lake can be VERY tough.

Congrats to the pros, they make it look so easy!

I have heard it said the Bull Shoals is the second most difficult lake in the nation to fish. I would like to know what lake came in number 1. Bull is a big flood control lake. Normally crystal clear, but right now stained. I would like to have seen how the Elite series would have done under crystal clear circumstances. I was at two weigh ins, interesting. Brandon had a bunch of females suspended in deeper water in a spawning bay after a 7ft drop in water level only a few days before the tournament. He had three good days and bagged what the normal weight was for the fourth day. At any rate congratulations to Brandon, especially to a young kid sleeping in the back of his truck on a budget.

Hotdawg is my favorite guide down there! He was the first guide i ever had out on the white river and it was a blast. I was out on the river with him a few different times. I never got a chance to go out on the lake with him but I saw that he split from the boat dock and has his own service now. I am hoping to look him up this year for a day and see if he can show me around the lake. Its been a couple years since I have been down there.
