I might be headed to lake Sam rayburn next week. And visit a Marine buddy of mine. He wants do some cat fishing, but I'm going do some bass fishing for sure. I have never be there and really know nothing about it. I have herd about it on tv I remenber it about dried up last year I guess. Wondering it the lake back up, how the fishing any good tips on what the pattern there on what to used good places to go? My buddy is from Lufkin so I guess we well put in close to there mybe? But any tips or advise would be greatly appreciated.

NOt sure of a place to stay, but my buddy caught over 100 twice last week out there.

If you can find submerged willows in 6-8. Hit them repeatedly. Baby brush hogs martigras or watermellon red, tails dipped. Points are best.

They are in the grass eating ghost minnows. i slayed them on a w/r senko. 1-6' water.

Some fish at the old weedline in abt 14' water mostly on points for me. Veach and north of Blackforest as well.

Not alot of big fish but 100 per day would be easy.
