dixieboysles Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 im getting ready to order 4 of them in the 3/8oz size, so far i have Fogy Green, Extreme bluegill, and cool watermelon, would anyone suggest another great color choice? should i get one in the 1/2oz size? UPDATE: ok so i ordered the following..thoughts, suggestions, tips? 1 QTY Fogy Green 1 QTY Extreme Bluegill 1 QTY Shadadelic 1 QTY Cool Watermelon all in the 3/8 oz. size, if i like them, i may try the 1/2 oz sizes. or may order some darker colors. i figured the green and watermolon would do good for me right now in our stained waters in NC. most lakes i fish on though are clear (Claytor Lake---VA, Belews--NC, etc...) Norman for the most part Quote
fisherdad Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 I've got shocks or swim jigs in those colors except the watermelon. Just so you know, the Fogy Green is mostly white with just a little streak of green. The bluegill and watermelon should be good for the stained waters. The shadadelic is nice... I just lost mine last weekend, so I need to order some more. All my shocks are 3/8's as well. It's a good size and the skirts are nice and full and all in all give a great shake in the water. I do notice that some cast better than others, tho I havent weighed them to see if they are all roughly the same size. Quote
dixieboysles Posted November 20, 2009 Author Posted November 20, 2009 I couldn't find what the Fogy Green looked like. i just read alot of people mentioned it. so is it really good or do you have experience with the color? overall im pretty happy with my color choice. i wish they had a green pumpkin...ill se how these o, then i may try the Crigger Craw, i like the way it looks. any more color suggestions? fisherdad Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 There's a pic of Fogy Green in the vibraspin section. Mine has a little bit more green. I put on an original sized zoom fluke in baby bass for a trailer that matches almost perfectly. I fish mostly stained water... its not muddy or tannic... just "dark" stained. Most of the water that I've been on in Central Florida is like that. But do have a tannic and muddy lake I fish, and a spring fed that is crystal all the way down to the bottom. Fogy has been good as well as Blue Terror. I've heard that OC Shadadelic and Blue Shimmer Cotton Candy are good, and I'll probably pic them up next and some chartruese for when it gets muddy. Quote
flatbass Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 If you do any night or early morning fishing be sure and get a blue, black or one of the other dark colors. These things are awsome in the dark. I like the 1/2 oz., they are easier to fish deep. Quote
