As the title states her birthday is coming up, looking to get her a new fishing pole set up preferably from *** since I need to order a couple of other things anyway.

Budget is about $130 or below for the combo, she is starting to join me a lil more when going fishing, just wanting to get her a little more quality than her current shakespear lady pole.

So, opinions on what I should get her? Spinning reels only by the way.

May I suggested spending that $130 on hand lotion and porn, because thats all you will be getting if you buy her fishing stuff for her birthday. She may like going fishing, but good luck if that's what you get her.

I have to agree with ww2farmer. Spend the money on smething she can pamper herself with. I don't know whereabouts you live, but if you're near a large town or city, a spa day, or getting her hair and nails done, perfume or clothing will go alot farther than a combo. If you want to buy her a new combo, just do it. Don't make it a gift. Also while you're at it, appliances don't make good gifts either.

Great advice, but this is just one of among other things she will be getting, she stated she wants a better set up.

Some guys have wives that are a little different than the rest. Mine is not your typical wife. She doesn't care for fishing so much, but does occasionally do it (she fishes for panfish and uses live bait, and baits her own hooks). She likes the other outdoor activities though and I could get her anything related to that for a gift and she would like it. Doesn't have to be just "girly" gifts.
