Lucky Craft Lures

Are they worth the money in your opinion? I have never used one, but was wondering if they were that much better than other lures? I was interested in picking up some of their crankbaits, the finishes look amazing.

I dont have any of their cranks, but I really like the pointer and slender pointer jerkbaits.

Yep.  If I lose one, its replacement will be just like the one I lost.  Can't say that for many other brands.

I am not sold on their jerks.  I have a bunch of them and the Rapala Xraps sent them to the bottom of the box last winter.

Hi Bdubb, I cant vouch for any other lucky craft but the pointer has been working good for me. A lot of largemouth and striped bass have fallen victim to it.

Do they catch fish? Yes

Are they worth the money? No because there are better and cheaper options out there.

The Pointer 128 is my favorite lure, the 100

a close second. I think they are worth the full

list price, but with some effort you can find

them at better prices. The most I have paid

is around $13, the least was $5.

Really nice baits IMO and if I fished cranks and jerkbaits, I'd fish'em  the pointers are one of their most popular baits to date.

My pointers and sammies have numerous fish under their belts...Loved them both unconditionally until recently, when I had my PB smallie break one of the VMC trebles on my sammy!

Like all of the major manufacturers they have some great baits and some duds. I would reccomend most of their jerkbaits especially the Pointer. The Sammy is one of the better walking style baits out there, a great addition for anyone that likes topwater. Almost forgot about the Gunfish which is another cool topwater bait. The one Lucky Craft product that I can't do without would be their silent version of the RC cranks that are available at Bass Pro shops. The 1.5 size is the best all around size but the 0.5 & 2.5 size have also been a key part of my cranking arsenal the past few seasons. This is easily my favorite product and they have stuck a lot of fish for me the past few years. They typically run app $ 15, but Bass Pro usually offers them on sale a couple of times per year at $ 9.99 ea., this is when I load up on these baits.

Rc 2.5 and 3.5, Best crankbait made. Lucky Crafts are quality baits hands down. You really get what you pay for.

They have great colors, great finish, and great components. I have done very well with them.

I love lucky crafts. You can find them for $10 a few times a year at BPS.

Are they worth it?  Depends on how much value you see in buying plastic baits with very high build quality.  If a LC works well, you can buy another assured that it will work just like the first one.  Most other brands have less quality control.  To me, spending $15 once is better than wasting time and money (especially time fishing!) on a different brand with hit or miss quality.  It might even end up being cheaper.  That said, L.C. doesn't build every bait that a crankbait junkie needs.  IMO, they tend to have dependable but conservative action compared to some.  And they don't make the wood baits that every boy needs, either.  My fave LC's are the R.C. baits sold by BPS, the CB200, and the Staysee 90SP.

Agreed (I also ultra-dig the Staysee....my #1 for winter/early spring).

I love my rick clunn 1.5s. They catch more fish than anyother crank I have ever used. The 2.5 and 3.5's usually land bigger fish. The best lure I have ever bought.

I caught and released one of the biggest fish I've ever caught, 25" & 9lb. on a LC Moonsault chart./shad..My brother and I like to broke our necks running to BPS after we got home to buy more, and have only caught a few keepers since then on them  . So, now I got a nice selection of them anyway. ;D
