Super User eyedabassman Posted April 13, 2012 Super User Posted April 13, 2012 Just would like to know what knot you guys are fishing on the A-rig. I did use the SD jam knot and it worked good on 65 lb. braid. Is there a better knot for this rig? Quote
Super User J Francho Posted April 13, 2012 Super User Posted April 13, 2012 Uni has always worked fine for me. Quote
jeb2 Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 I've been using the SD Jam Knot with Suffix 832 65lb braid for my A-rigs, too. Have not had any issues with it. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted April 14, 2012 Super User Posted April 14, 2012 Palomar or Double Palomar. Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted April 14, 2012 Super User Posted April 14, 2012 Pitzen, but I'm usually not throwing A-Rig on braid. Usually throw it on 25lb big game. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted April 16, 2012 Super User Posted April 16, 2012 You guys using a Palomar....really? On an umbrella rig? What a mess that must be top tie properly. Quote

Super User Deleted account Posted April 16, 2012 Super User Posted April 16, 2012 Its not hard, but you will loose some line everytime you retie. Quote

First time I did it, it was. Then I just stuck a rubber band around the whole rig to hold the wires together. Much, much easier. Quote
bigbassctchr101 Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 I'm using a double braid knot and half hitching the tag thru the eye and loop before I cinch it down. I also take a split ring and attach it to two split rings and tie to that. Then I can switch between the different rigs I have quickly. Quote
