stanlje2 Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 I just carved my first couple of cranks and they turned out pretty well but I'm not happy with how my process of cutting a slot and hand cutting my bills is at this stage. Can you guys give me some insight on how you insert your bills? Do you order them or cut them? Any help is greatly appreciated. Quote
BIG M Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 I cut the lip slot first while wood is style in block forum, helps me keep the slot straight. I buy pre-made bills if I can find the style I want. I hate to spend the time cutting bills. I install the bills prior to painting but that's just my way of doing things. Quote
stanlje2 Posted April 12, 2012 Author Posted April 12, 2012 Thanks for the info. I made the mistake of trying to cut the first two after carving was complete. Do you you mind sharing where you purchase your bills? Quote
