Yeah there is lots of open water but I need nearly ice out since I want to boat. Hopefully by this weekend there will be a few that are completely open.

Caught a nice healthy 2lber yesterday on big island pond on te hampsead siDe. First point down from the channel coming from the inlet there's a sharp drop off to 35 ft. Caught on a floating rainbow trout colored cotton Cordell Redfin on the pause. No luck with jigs or Shakey heads but first cast on the jerk bait was money

Also my roof rack problem I solved while saving almost a 120 bucks. My dad said the foam blocks would do the trick on my car they lift it off the roof a bit and I feel are better than the noodles the ones I bought seem to have more traction and grip on the top of the car which is good. So come Thursday I will be starting my season will be hitting the Nashua River roughly around 1:00 the latest so if anyone decides to go around then maybe I'll bump into yea. My plan of attack seeing how it is going to be warm on Thursday will be to look for any wood cover that will take on the most heat and throw jigs at them. Maybe also if that doesn't work out look for deeper pools that come off the river and hopefully find some pockets of bass. Looking to start the season off well guys wish me luck.

Careful fishing rivers by yourself this time of year. They are still very cold. I have no idea how high and fast the rivers are down your way but all the rivers up here are near flood stage and running mud from the rain and run off. This time of year it is always a good idea to wear a life jacket.

if you got to Stellos ramp . go left catch that shore on the ramp side, there are several spots where the trees and logs are sticking up.  follow it right around the corner.   Also once Otternic pond opens up follow the stream out on the left  straight out from the launch,  that yak is perfect for this area,

Also on the Nashua river if you launch off Tilton street go quick right and fish around that first set of islands.  There are a couple drops , once you start seeing green growing this place produces well.

Also the water is flowing fast and heavy in the dam area, It is wide open and flowing well.  The orange warning balls and safely cable are not across the river yet,  i would not get too close to the Dam area.   The current across the other side of the river is moving much harder than the ramp side.

go catch some nice fish,   its a huge river, and they are there, but they can be tough to find. lots and lots of water to learn,   you could fish the river exclisively all year and not make it to the hollis line.  I fish from the Tilton road ramp area a lot

Thanks for the tip nev I will have to try it. Do you think it's safe for me if I go buy myself I have my anchor and paddles or is it too fast to try to maneuver?

I apologize for not being a NH guy, technically I was born in NH at Wentworth Douglass, and I live 10 minutes north of Rochester, but I just wanted to say hello Shane. I saw you at the grand opening of the Hooksett bass pro and couldn't help but notice your rage tail apparel. Just curious to your affiliation with the products?

Hey, we LOVE Maine down here, buddy, you're always welcome here with us, and I know I speak for quite a few of the guys here, when I say I hope we get to fish together sometime. It was nice meeting you over there at our new BPS, and glad you popped over to say hi! I am actually good friends with Big O, the designer of the Rage Tail baits. I help spread the word about them, because they are the best baits out there, and I love fishing them. You'll hear plenty of stories, and hopefully see plenty more big fish caught on them again this year! If we catch up on the water, I'll let you rummage through my bag, and I can give you some samples and tips on fishing with what we have to offer.

Awesome! I currently have 15 bags of rage craws in my boat. I start every season with 5 white, 5 blue and 5 green. I throw white baby craws on beds with a darter head jig, and the green and blue colors are trailers on all of my Strike King jigs. I can't and wont fish without having a rage craw tied on.

Cool. Let us know what you find. The river between panther pond and crescent lake is probably open.

Is the river passable for boats? I remember many years ago (20) going through it with my bass boat and a couple spots I had to raise my motor to sneak through.

It is passable. There are a couple shallow spots where you have to be careful though.  I assumer there is still plenty of ice on both Crescent and Panther. The only way t get to the river right now would be by parking on 85. You could toss in a carry top right there.
