Click the webapp icon on the top bar

This is the web app it pretty much shows all the coverage you would get with the phone app.

Thanks for this. This can be a great tool for some one like me with no electronincs fishing mostly from a kayak.

My father-in-law and I have a little bass hound and a small trolling motor. I fished onway last year and got smoked... Last year was my first year bass fishing! I grew up in Northern Maine so a lot of fisherman turned there noses up at bass. So I basically did a lot of trout fishing instead.

Yea it was forbidden to bass fish in my family. They were all about slow trolling winni. I got out of fishing because it's so d**n boring to me. I got a boat and started bass fishing 2 seasons ago and I can't get enough of it now. This year I'm gonna pull my fly rod out again and fish for trout in streams and may try bass fishing with it.

Perch, bluegill, and crappie. There are natural shiners(silver), and alewives are scarce, but out there. I feel best imitating the gills and perch in clear water.

I don't see why there is such a beef between hardcore fishermen and fly fishermen at times. I used to get teased by my trout unlimited friends for fishing for "green fish" all the time lol. I've recently gotten more into bass fishing which forced me to not fly fish as much but I still find it enjoyable to fish for bass with a fly. I've even had days where I've done better with a fly than my regular equipment.

Yea I don't get it either. Fishing is fishing to me. We are all out there to have a good time. I've noticed a lot of guys get mad when I show up in sandals and shorts and wade out to fish lol I hope to actually catch a fish on a fly rod. I've only ever caught one

Ya I'm going to try to get into fly fishing this year as well. Quick question -

What is the primary forage for bass in NH? Do we have shad/bream in our waters?

Prime forage would consist mostly of Perch, Bluegill, and Crawfish would be my top 3 most baits I use resemble something along the lines of those 3.

Good call on the craws. I was thinking only fishies, but yeah, craws all day long!!!

I go with craws, frogs, lizards and worms for my slow shallow fishing then I switch it up to faster baits like the gills, shiners for the faster presentation in the deeper stuff. But to me it's what you learn from each fishery because none are the same. That's why I like these post people share some great info here.

So for your crank bait, jerkbait you throw bluegill/perch patterns along with craws? What is the color of a craw in NH by the way? I always hear march the hatch and don't know if their color differs throughout the country.

Craws are a brighter orange in the spring time then turn to a more dark brown with a hint of blue and green under their stomachs. If it were me I would get 2 cranks One with the brighter orange and brown batter and then one with a lighter brown and black mix that way you get best of both worlds. On another note if it were me I would go with a jig and rage craw or a jig and a crawfish trailer rather than a crank bait if you are trying to imitate a crawfish.

Bluegill V&M Cliff Pace the Pulse Pacemaker swim jig with a blue craw DB craw as the trailer - I have that on my 7' MH/F Vendetta and a Daiwa LExa 6.3:1

New 149

Yellow Perch 2.5 Strike King KVD HC Squarebill on my new cranking setup - 7' 6" Shimano Clarus MH/MF with a Abu Garcia Orra Winch 5.4:1

New 165

Yesterday soaked a jig for a little bit in a small opening in a tiny local pond LOL, I had to!

New 162

Today I rigged up all my casting setups, can't wait to be able to utilize them all! Hopefully we don't see any more cold!

Yes, you are right about that. In early spring, I do see a lot of dark greens, browns, and blacks, with the orange on the crawfishies. I have a Rage Craw for that, and it does NOT get beat when that color is predominant in the craws. For cranks, I stick mostly to the gill and perch patterns around here.

I fished the Merrimack in Bow yesterday and today.  There were a lot of boats all competing for position yesterday.  The guys with the live bait were doing pretty well.  I managed to get a couple keepers on a shaky head with a Missile Baits Fuse 4.4 in candy grass.

The weather today wasn't as pleasant, I was the only one fishing.  The current was decent but not dangerous, no bass this time but I ended up landing a few really big white suckers.  I was yo-yoing a lipless bait of bottom.

Has anyone found the bass clear out when the suckers show up?

No, they don't leave, only end up in a different location. I almost went up there today, but the wind sucked. I knew yesterday was gonna be a mob scene with the nice day we had.

Reels all cleaned and lubed on this rainy day, even did my new lew's I just got in the mail yesterday. This rain will help on the smaller ponds to warm them up.

I didn't think you could use live bait at this time for bass? Unless they weren't targeting bass?
