Went to Rocky today with Jitterbugger and another friend. Each of us got around 10 fish all over a pound. Awesome day to go out and fish, huge caddis and mayfly hatch going on as well as black ants, the only bad thing is that the mosquitoes were terrible tonight!

3 - 3 lb + from Merrymeeting lake in New Durham. I had never been there , my buddy took me.  what an awesome place. 3 of them in his 17 ft big boat pulled over 40 smallies,  1/2 on top water ,

I used my jon boat with troller and pulled 10 , 6 on top water , 1 on a spinner and 3 off of beds.   There were so many on beds it would have been like lifting chickens to get the eggs.  I chose to catch 3 of them could have easily taken 20.      I didnt see any real giants on the beds or i would have tried for them but i am sure they are in there.

from last wed small largemouth and pickerel in the kayak from some water off the side of the road in Loudon a bit after Venco wings.  I do not know the name of it.

between pittsfield road and pleasant st on route 129 , cloer to pittsfield rd

My dad caught a 15 oz pumpkinseed last year ( the state record is 13 oz I believe)... Caught lots of small largemouth this weekend, on Saturday I got a black sea bass... I'll post a photo later...

I wanna get after some smallies this weekend, anyone wanna give me some ideas on where to head to...

Live in Milford would like to keep the drive about an hour or less...

Jitterbug,  if you have never been to Merrymeeting i would take the time to go this weekend... It was awesome there last Sat.   It will be closer to 1 1/2 hours for you.  get up an hour earlier to make up for the extra drive.   I got up at 3:30 to leave at 4 am to be on the water for 5:30.  I was tired that night but i am going to go back at 3:30 next Sat i think.   My other thought would be Bow lake.  I have not launched on a trailer there but the canoe or jon boat is easy out of the back of my pick up truck.

Hopefully it will be awesome for you,  I am trying to work it out so i can go again this fri or sat before they are off beds.  The water was so clear that at almost 20 feet you could see them on the beds.  And the place is huge.

Merrymeeting is a solid smallmouth lake great fishing when you find the staging areas. I have always had good luck on the first two points on the north shore area.

The squeeze gets bumpy if theres any wind picking up because tha lake is deep for its size.

Hey guys, I posted it on another forum last week and got no responses, but has anyone ever been to Namaske Lake in Goffstown? Its where the Piscataquog River is damned up and is about 150 (+ or -) acres. Can anyone tell me approximate max depth, fishing, and how bad the milfoil problem is? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a question for you guys. Do any of you know where I can get a good Topo map for my lake Northwood Lake. I know about the ones on the NH Fish and Game site, but those arent all that detailed. I would like to get one just so I can start to use my little portable fish finder to see if I can find some new areas or hot spots on some lakes. Seems like I have been fishing the same stuff and I am still only on the 3lbers looking to catch some hogs. I am thinking getting some lake maps and putting the electronics to use will increase my percentage.

Went to Onway lake today in Raymond for a few hours. Finally caught some decent fish. Caught 6 in 2.5 hours the smallest around 2.5 and the biggest just over 3. Nice launch. Seems to have quality fish in there no dinks at all that I saw. They were all over a Texas rigged senko. No fish on beds at all. Got two retrieving the worm to make another cast.

I have a friend who lives in Raymond and we are supposed to go there next week.  I've been there once last year and my friend and I both caught decent bass there in that cove all the way down and to the right of the boat launch.  We wanted to go again but they started repairing boat launch area.  Where were you catching them if you don't mind me asking?  Was it on the right side of lake from boat launch where there is a lot of vegetation? That area looked really good when we went last year but we went on a very windy day.  That is why we headed into that cove to fish.

Wow .  talk about a lot of people fishing Turtle pond.    at least  13 vehicles, most with trailers and only 1 fishing from the dock. Had to park back almost at the road.  Almost didnt stay but i only had the Kayak so i stayed.  Fished frogs in the weeds for a couple hours on the right in deep into the weeds.  No one was fishing the area at all, even with all the boats that were there.  7 fish biggest only 3 1/2

Klubba I went straight out off the ramp across and worked the grass to the right back to the ramp and near the docks. There was a loon nesting straight across at the grass line so be careful of that.
