Would like to stay within a half hour of there.  I live in Brentwood and it will take me about an hour to get to Milford so the closer the better.  Ever fish Purgatory Brook?  Looks like a nice place from pics I have seen

Rocky Pond in Hollis where I fish from shore their I don't know if its actually legal, but if you enter the dirt road trail that leads along the pond in a circle and goes through all the camps you'll end up near an abandoned kinda cabin and you can just walk down and there's a small beach area you can fish from and Rocky Pond has some good sized bass last year I pulled out mostly 2-3lbers about 7-8 in a day and then come night time I pulled out a 4.6 out of some weeds on a jitterbug

to get to stump the way i go  route 89 to exit 5

after you go over the big bridge you take a right and go past the hose farm (please go slow)  follow it in you will see signs.    go left to the boat ramp.  or go anywhere with a canoe or kayak. follow the roads around , you cannot get lost.    if you go right instead of left it will take you to a canoe type launch to get to the water.    if you can carry to the water you can launch a jon boat  etc...  it basically takes you to the bridge.  there are lots and lots and lots of places to fish from shore down any of these dirt roads.

I have not gone left into the Mudget off route 202 and down that end yet with my kayakk or canoe,  but there is water access there.

Just my two sense on the whole trout fishing. Purgatory is alright fishing, the falls are nice as well as fishing above them . Also try the hole on the main road near purgatory. It's right near the 4 corners at the farm, near a condo apartment thing. Also the Nissitissit is fishing well right now as well as Wittamore Lake in Greenfield near Sunset Lake. Sorry to derail thread with trout talk.

Back to Bass. Hit Potanapo on Wednesday and misses some bass and caught 3 or 4 crappie ranging from 10 - 14 inches. Hit Melendy and Sunset Lake Yesterday and got skunked but my friend caught 2 2lbers and a couple pickerel as well as a 1lber. Also NeJitterbugger and I went out today off shore at a pond in Amherst, tons of strikes and  misses. Sadly no fish for either of us. The shore access is pretty awful so I don't blame our technique.

Did two hours at Swains yesterday, managed 2 bass on a gitzit.  Winnipesaukee bound today with my father. It will be at Lee Mills less boat traffic and great fishing.

Was a good day fishing at Winni (Lee MIlls) took my father with me total 16 fish, Most on blade runner jigs with rage crawdad for the trailers. My dad still catches them on a chartreuse gitzit ugliest thing if you ask me but he gets them. Smallies were right near the shore. I also saw two beds nothing on them so wont be long now up there. Crawdad color seemed to be the go to color for me. The weather man lied it was windy up there

Yes there is a nice one  take 109 to Lee rd then take a left on Lees Mill rd. I like it up there because it's quiet there even during the busy summer time. Just don't power load your boat they will fine you.

Is there more than 1 launch / ramp for big boats at Bow?   Is the parking any better than years ago if you have a bigger boat and trailer?

I went fishing tonight after work at the Exeter River. I was fishing for trout using an inline spinner and caught this. Can someone let me know what it is?
