Fun night at the retention pond again tonight.  9 fish in all,  the biggest at 5lb 4oz my biggest so far this year.    pictures are not that great, tough in the dark , although the full moon helped

Black spinner bait after the white spinner bait stopped working.   I was working both of them pretty fast.

My buddy got a few in the 2lb range yesterday on a spinnerbait. I got 5 on a swim jig, but mine were all over 3, biggest was 4. I can't do spinnerbaits anymore, because everytime I go head to head with them now, I smoke 'em. Used to be a spinnerbait addict.

Just giving what seems to be working, Started with the rage craw in pearl white then went to a dark space monkey. After 15/20 minutes of nothing i threw the white spinner that was working the other night, when it seemed to stop i threw the black one and hit a few more.  If i was in the boat i would have stuck with the craw and space monkey for a longer time, but i would have been fishing a bigger area.   The spinner may not work again this year ,  one never knows till they try.  The Keel weighted Craw is already tied back on for a visit to the Stellos dam tonight.

Caught 2 fish today  1.4lber the other 1lb caught one on a hula popper the other on a white spinner bait with trailer hook both fish were hooked near big rocks jutting into the water in about 5-6 feet of water. Wasn't really much green vegetation mostly dead stuff, but all in all was a good day just had a great day on the lake in general. Any tips on where bass might be this time of year???

The green stuff is just starting to pop and be able to be seen down here in Nashua area... . ,1 more week and the green stuff will really be making some oxygen.

Nashua river water is finally about 50 degrees.   couple good days of bright sun.

Which part are you fishing of the Nashua River??? I fished the boat ramp by stellos stadium and had no luck, but that was early April like April 1st now that we have warm weather I would assume it be different  Also is it the same concept during the spring as it is summer where the bass will come up to eat in the morning and evening and during midday they'll go deep??? I figured seeing as how we had the full moon and all the warm weather they'd be up shallow building their beds so i fished the best cover I could, but not much luck there was a decent amount of docks to I fished a couple, but my main focus was the cover wear flats kind of were I wanna get these big fish.

from the ramp left to and around the big island at stellos and all the shore area.  One thing i like to do with the canoe and jon boat is stay against the shore and cast sideways along the shore.    instead of being 30 feet away from shore and casting to land.    Take the rage tail craw and drag it , bounce it off the bottom , or even creep it real slow down the entire length of the cast.   Literally 1 ft from the shore,  then 3 feet from the shore then 5 feet.   When i first starting trying this i was surprised at how many hits i was getting less than 2 feet from the shore line.  in 7 - 9  inches of water.   The Rage craw is awesome , you can fish it so many different ways.  I use the rage chunk or cut 1/2 the body off a craw and use it as a trailer on my spinner baits. to help hide the trailer hook.    After i put the trailer hook on i main hook i then put the craw or chunk on the main hook.   The action of the craw claws gives more show/flash and i assume noise.  and i dont always match the color.

You can also crank the craw weightless or with a weighted hook , just like a regular crank bait.  hook it weedless and drag it right down the shore.

Thanks for the tip I think I am going to try Lake Potanipo Tomorrow in Brookline I'm hoping there's better vegetation there and maybe get a couple decent sized bass this time

I fished it last sunday with zero luck, current is very fast, water temps vary between 45-48 depending on location, visibility 1 &1/2 to 2 feet max.

I was on the bow side on the powerplant stretch, water is whippin out of the upper dam.

Haven't been on any other sections so far.

I fish it a bunch, but i fish mainly around the bridge and where to nashua and merr river come together and up to the boat launch behind greeley park.  All smallmouth and pickerel.   I have not fished much past the bridge in the downtown east hollis st area.

I should add that most of this info on different things is stuff i have learned thru other people., much of it here on this site.

And just plain experimenting the last 2 years.  I have lots and lots to learn.

Are a lot of you guys using fish finders to locate structure it seems like every time I try to locate structure it ends up being around shore land and the water is to shallow and mucky to hold fish and sometimes I'll get lucky on some good structure, but on new lakes and ponds its very hard to find producing areas that are holding fish with structure.

Using a fish finder on a new lake I first look at a map http://www.wildlife.state.nh.us/Fishing/bathy_maps.htm to locate points off the shore, a lot of time structure builds up on that. Look for rock piles just off islands. Once I do know the shore line I turn the fish finder off. I am a firm believer the big bass can hear the pinging. But that's just my opinion

Nice fish guys!  Glad to see everyone getting out.

I got out yesterday and today.  Slow day yesterday..only managed 2 LMB around 2lbs.  One on the jig and the other on the jerkbait.

Today I got out and caught 5 smallies in a few hours.  All on the jig around wood in deeper water  None under 2 lbs, and the biggest was this beautiful 3lber.

3lb smallie

nice job guys,  Myself and 2 buddies used my canoe and jonboat today and dragged them too Silver Lake in Hollis for 3 hours this morning.  water temp was 53 -57.  We caught over 40 fish between us.  2 biggest bass were about 2 1/4 lbs.   most were between 1 and 1 1/2.    only 2 pickerel.    water is super clear and even at 10 feet you can see the bottom.  other than weeds on the bottom ,muck and an occasional rock there wasnt much of anything else to be seen except for lots and lots and lots of small fish.  We found no structure , stumps , rock piles or anything else for fish to hide,   deepest water we found was about 24 feet in the middle,  the very basic depth and temp electronics showed nothing except it looking like a bowl.   weeds should be coming green and growing soon and lots of docks.  we caught fish everywhere in this place.   100% of the shore line , at all or most all of the docks and even in the middle.   We threw crankbaits , spooks  ,poprs , spinners and lots of rage craws.
