kroberts9 Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Next to the church I don't think it is since deerneck cartop was locked as of 4/2. Claire's landing off exit 2 on 101 is good to go. My buddy and I will be there from 8am to 1ish if all goes well. We will be in a Jon boat all decked out with a fishfinder. You can't miss me I'm in the simms jacket and bib Quote
NEBass123 Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 That is good to know as it saves me from driving all around, Thanks. I am hoping to get there around 10am and will be in the Nitro with my fiance and dog. I'm sure we'll see each other. Good luck! Quote
NEBass123 Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 How'd you make out today? I ended up being lazy and didn't bring the boat up to NH. Seemed like the wind wasn't too bad today either. Quote

I used to be able to go out there and put 20 a day in the boat, but since there’s no vegetation left it’s been much more difficult. They chew up jigs and senkos there. They average size bass is probably 1-2lbs because there’s so many in there. My friends and i jokingly call all 1lb bass “robbie bass.” There’s a few 6-8lbers in there. Just much tougher to find. There’s a down log on the right of the island straight from a boat ramp that has produced the biggest fish for me. All Big girls were caught there. So essentially find the wood and structure that isn’t vegataion because there’s none left and throw a jig. Brown and green pumpkin. I caught the one below about 7 years ago. Hence why the quality is so bad. I took it on my LG chocolate LOL and Then a pick of it on my iPhone. Quote

Haven't been in probably 7 or 8 years, as it started to really suck, unless you like 1 lb bass and boats waking next to you doing 40mph. It's really a small place, and the boats and pressure put on it make it a waste of time, imo. On April 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM, BobberBuddy said: How is Robinson Pond if you don't mind me asking? Jnewt Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Hello, first time posting. I’m fairly new to bass fishing ,I only started in July of last season, but have learned quickly. Started on the banks then got a kayak to get on the water. My PB is 4lb 13oz so far. I live close to Arlington Mill Res so if anyone local is interested in going fishing I’m usually up for it. Just bought a pontoon boat but don’t have a slip on Arlington yet if anyone is interested in renting me dock space? NH Bassin, if your willing could you Lead me in the right direction about the old bed roads and structure at Arlington? Quote

A few of my favorite ponds have had similar issues which is a shame as it gets harder to find good places to fish. I'll probably try it a few times since it' so close and will definitely find that log. I'll let you know how I do. Quote

Micropterus Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Nhbassin yeah they were mostly out in 10-12 on hard bottom, though a couple came in 5-6 on a chatterbait. Went back to the same place a few days later, water temp dropped 3 degrees and they weren't budging 1 Quote
JQ-92 Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Looking to do some small mouth fishing tomorrow in the southern NH area because I figured the waters warmer. Any suggestions? Is canobie any good? Massebesic? Quote

JAB50 Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Canobie can be really good! I'm from Lowell, Ma originally. My brother lives in Dracula. Fished Canobie for over 20+ years. Wait about two more weeks. When you put your boat in at the ramp; you can park over by the water works. Going out the ramp go to the shoreline to the right. There is a point that can be dynamite. And about 50 to 100 uss off shore from the water works there are sunken telephone poles and the smallies love to spawn in it that area too! Dracut 1 Quote

I find it used to be great, but the last 10-15 years has fallen off. There are still good days to be had out there tho, I agree. If you go off that first point to the right of the launch, there's a hump that travels towards the opposite shore, good spot to hit. Quote
Jnewt Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 I haven’t been “on” the water yet this year but I have been bank fishing. I can only access a couple of spots on my home Lake so it can be hit or miss. This is my first year fishing a jerk bait and man does it produce! I’ve caught everything from pickerel , croppie, and this 4.5lb fatty I’m not sure why but my photos not posting Quote

I purchased a few yo zuri suspending jerkbaits and the prism perch pattern and they look perfect in the water! Here is a link to them at Tackle Warehouse if anyone is interested. Jnewt Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 I was just looking at those. I like the 0-2ft suspending which seems pretty unique running that shallow. I bet it’s a killer. I have the Lucky Craft Pointer 100 in yellow perch, bluegill flash?, and ghost minnow that run in 6-10ft. I need to cover different depths so I also just picked up the LC Pointer 78 that runs 4-5ft in baby bluegill which looks amazing. 1 Quote
jmk248 Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Anyone have any insight on highland lake? Thinking about going there this weekend or next. Have a feeling it could be close to spawn, if not, full spawn in two weeks with the warmer weather coming fast. Any tips would be helpful Quote
salmotrutta Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 First Slammer fish coming in at 4# even. 3.2# on the DRT Klash 1 Quote
JAB50 Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Fished a southern New Hampshire lake in pelham. The smallmouth and largemouth were on beds! Canobie has a good smallmouth population. Right now would be a perfect time to catch some smallmouth off of beds! Straight across the ramp to the water works shoreline tends to hold a lot of smallmouth beds in 6-9 ft of water. Either work that water works shoreline all the way past the amusement park. And also along the main road that the water works is on too! Now is the time! Ballhead grubs. Or Texas rigged creature baits! Quote
