Hoping to get out within the week but first I have to replace the KeelGaurd on my boat. I got a replacement covered by the warranty but now to peel something off that is not supposed to peel off.

You will see it happening the end of the month with the full moon and any water in the 60's.

All the body's of water I've been on throughout s. NH ,water is hovering 58-62. LMB don't seem to be eating much this week think.  I've seen some cruising the shorelines. But they aren't interested in eating. Caught about 5 Smb off beds at pleasant in Deerfield. So easy there with the clear water. I don't like bed fisihing but it's a way to feel the tug when times are tuff.

I agree, I don't like fishing beds I might go if I am taking someone new to the sport. There are plenty of fish that are not on the same cycle. But thats my opinion :) Happy to see people are having some good luck here. Keep it safe on the water.

Went out today.Did a 6 hour outing caught 2 bass and 6 pickerel it was a tough bite. Tried swim jigs, wacky worms, Texas rigged curly tail worm, rattle traps, jigs and still couldn't get a consistent bite. Anyone been getting on them and if you have what style retrieve are you using? I've been doing slow dead sticking ripping it everything can't seem to get out of this slump. Here's the fish from today.

Anyone have any insight as to fishing hard Baits and search baits. Most of my fishing career I've used a lot of Texas rigged soft plastics, but recently I've been getting into crankbaits more specifically lipless baits, but I will be purchasing some billed cranks as well. Any tips on fishing them to get on bigger and numbers of bass. I really like fishing them cause I like the ability to cover water and keep moving to find the fish.

Hardbaits are just a different technique, but your gonna get better numbers with soft plastics, and hardbaits won't get you more size either.  That being said, get a lipless, a squarebill, a crank, a jerk bait and a top water popper. That should get you started.

Got out today from 8 AM till 11:30 AM.  The water was 64.5 F, but I did not see any beds.  The bite was tough (cold, windy and rainy), but I did manage to get 2 fish.  The largest went 4.1 lb.  Headed back out tomorrow, I'll keep you guys posted.

Hard baits put you in the realm of cadence. The hard bait is tuned to the correct "wobble" This is where the reel speed comes in and I have even seen videos talking about the amount of line used changes your retrieval speed. It takes time to master it (I havent) but I know a few people who have and put me to shame.

I've been out several times in the past 2 weeks and haven't seen any beds at all. Fishing seems to be really slow so far this spring. Not sure if it's the cold weather or all the rain. Hopefully we get some long term warmth soon to get the largemouth's going.

Anyone have any luck over the years as well as this year in Nutts pond in Manchester? Just moved in November right near it and would like to try it but don't want to waste my time if it has nothing. I did notice how the pigs and addicts of Manchester pollute the place, so I was also concerned about that. Any information would be much appreciated.

Sunday brought a day filled with cookie cutter largemouth.Landed a dozen and probably half that many came unbuttoned.Started the day with a Triple Trout and that was all i needed.Gained a little more confidence throwing swimbaits.

Went to a local pond to try out a new Swimbait,The Triple Trout Stubby.Bass were hitting both colors(Army and Carp.)The bites were subtle.Instead of the rod being jerked from your hands the rod would just load up softly. If your into swimbaits i highly recommend the TT.

Finally got out for the first time this year yesterday. Did Swains in Barrington it's pretty much post spawn now about 2 dozen small schoolies nothing over a pound mostly caught tight near shore skipping under tree branches or structure. Tried looking for the bigger ones but could not pin them done no matter what the depth.

Went out today on Paugaus bay landed 1 smallie and a rock bass nothing special. Went back down towards my camp and stopped at a small river on the side of the road and caught a nice Brookie. Then to wrap up the day we fished jeness pond in north wood. And it was a bit breezy so rattle traps were what we figured best. Well they succeed my buddy landed 2 nice bass one was 3lbs the other 3lbs 4oz all in all decent day. Still looking for the warmer water to get them more active.

Stopped at Stump Pond on the way to Market Basket yesterday afternoon and landed this beauty on a swim jig. Never fished here before but I may come back lol. No scale on me but pretty sure it was 5+... my previous PB was 4lbs and this was a good bit bigger, thick tail and chunky belly.

Here's one no bigger than 1.5 lbs i  pulled on an orange/black wacky worm the other day. I saw some beds too, but only a few small bass on the beds. I know the bigger ones are somewhere. The only way i seem to be catching them right now is on wacky worms, with some hits and misses on frogs. what are you guys throwing right now, and where are you finding them/any patterns? thanks.

Empty beds were everywhere today, but I still found fish in those areas (10+ fish day).  The bass seemed to be hanging around the old beds.  A texas-rigged rage craw did the trick today.  The fish in the photo is 5 lb even.  I had a much larger fish on, but could not turn it and I lost the fish.  Ehh, it happens. 5 lb

Did Greateast Saturday. The lake is in post spawn with only a couple caught the biggest just under 2 lbs. Wacky rig skipped under the branches on the sunny shore line was the areas of the most bites. Spotted a nice size bass flipped a senko to it, it even landed on its back and it didn't move so I gave up with the bass being lock jawed. The water was 64 the lake is a cold lake so it takes some time to go higher. thrown were wacky rigged senkos, chatter baits, jigs with chigger craws, multiple colors as the clouds dissipated.

Bass didn't want anything to do with swimbaits today. This pond fishes very well with crankbaits. So i broke out the DT10 in a red crayfish pattern.First cast with the crankbait and i hooked up with this fish.Landed a few more before the wind drove me off the pond.
