Hey guys, I am heading to Ossipee this Friday-Sunday for a bachelor party and plan to put in some time on the water. Is it safe to say that most fish will be post-spawn there?

Unless your going to Umbagod lake it would be safe to say post spawn is in full swing,

why would umbagod be any different? just curious. on pleasant lake I never saw any lmb on beds at all. one side on my dock theres a sunfish the other side a smb, both on nests the small mouth has been on that nest for almost 4 weeks?  did the largies just finish up and spawn deep? I see them cruising the shorelines every morning, usually in pairs one always about twice the size as the other.

Fished Harvey lake today to check it out before Saturday. Pretty weird day all in all, ended up dropping a veritas 2.0 in the drink which sucked. Left and bought some goggles and went diving for it but no luck. After I sucked it up and headed back out to get some fishing in and glad I did. Got 5 dinks almost back to back casts then headed to the weeds and got a 4lb 1 oz and a 4lb 3oz within 5 minutes of eachother. All in all it it was decent, the rod can be replaced but if anyone sees a combo floating around let me know lol.

Its a colder lake further north mostly smallmouth remember fish have no calendar. it's all by water temp and the moon phase. but spawn can occur through out the summer if a bass misses the cycle. Can remember a few yrs ago smallmouth finally hitting spawn late June at Winni

Unfortunately some nasty weather cut my Saturday fishing trip short, but I did get a nice fish.  I love fishing overcast weather!  I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.  Tight lines!  :fish1::fish1::fish1:

Fished another derby at Harvey Lake on Saturday. It started out partly cloudy and quickly turned to overcast with a stiff breeze. I wasn't finding many fish shallow so I found a hump coming up from 20fow and fish were stacked. Lots of dinks but ended up getting a 5lb 21.5 inch fish on a dropshot which was fun, another 20 inch on a senko and 18 inch as well and 2 14.5 inch fish on cranks. Finished in first place with big fish too. All in all a good day of fishing.

Was lucky enough to be able to fish a Weds tournament on Arrowhead lake in Waterboro, ME. I was culling all day but nothing over 2lbs to make my 5 fish bag just under 10lbs for weight.. I know another forum member here did a better job. The wind played games the later part of the day.. Jigs and senkos (wacky) got the most. I do know a couple 6 lb fish were caught.

That I don't know will look into that I can't make the Moose tournament. As you know anything the Hoopers are involved with takes time lol.

Just caught this bad boy tonight on a big 10 in power worm he slammed it. Didn't have the scale in guessing 4-5 lbs roughly

You catch her during a storm?  Seeing the line run in some choppy water is always a thrill.
