Nashua Nev Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 No Bass today for me , Just these small pickerel. 3.1 lbs and a big one Quote
Super User Shane J Posted October 6, 2012 Super User Posted October 6, 2012 Water temps about 60 degrees, and yes, they are feeding good when the fronts aren't going crazy. I slayed 'em today right before the rain started. Tomorrow will probably suck, and Monday might be tough. No reason not to try, though. Let us know what happens. Ps- Nev, what'd you keep those picks, or what? Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Cught a 4.5 pound largemouth at HoneyPot Pond on Zara Spook tonight! (attempted to attach image..first time) Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Thanks Nev, still working for my first 5 pounder in New England my PB was caught in FL Quote
Super User Shane J Posted October 7, 2012 Super User Posted October 7, 2012 Nice fish there! I love fishing in the dark. Must've been fun. You'll get that 5 soon enough, just fish as much as you can. Great work. Here's my biggest of the day today. Caught on a Rage-Rigged (keel-weighted) Rage Craw in Falcon Lake color. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted October 7, 2012 Super User Posted October 7, 2012 Locke Lake in Pittsfield. Pretty good bite early, then died off on me around noon. Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Where do you think I could get a 5 pounder this fall, Nev gave me some spots and I was interested you had any spots? Quote
bobh64 Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Did Winnipesaukee Sat but not a good day with the long front that went through and stalled on the lake plus the NH TOC fishing it at the same time. Lots of rainbow's chasing my lures but the season is closed for them, Season is over for me time to winterize the boat before a surprise freeze comes and kills the outboard. Quote
Nashua Nev Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Ps- Nev, what'd you keep those picks, or what? Unfortulatly neither of those Pickerel made it. The big one had a spook so deep you couldnt see it. The small one had a Space Monkey way down. I would love to have caught the big one again during the late spring. We tried Quote
Super User Shane J Posted October 8, 2012 Super User Posted October 8, 2012 Gottcha. It happens. Luckily, they weren't bass. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted October 8, 2012 Super User Posted October 8, 2012 Jitterbugger, everywhere has 5 pounders in it, you just gotta be in the big fish mind set, and be willing to leave smaller fish in search of bigger ones. 1 Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 I CAUGHT MY PB TONIGHT!!!!! 5lbs 11oz!!....I will post the photo later, my dad needs to email it to me. Quote
nhbassin Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Water temps about 60 degrees, and yes, they are feeding good when the fronts aren't going crazy. I slayed 'em today right before the rain started. Tomorrow will probably suck, and Monday might be tough. No reason not to try, though. Let us know what happens. Ps- Nev, what'd you keep those picks, or what? Got out Sunday and Monday and got good numbers, but the fishing was kind of slow and nothing over a pound and a half. Got them on rage craws, swim jigs, regular jigs, and spinners, but never managed to put together a pattern for the big ones. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted October 9, 2012 Super User Posted October 9, 2012 Congrats, jitterbugger! Nice fish right there! I knew it wouldn't take you long. Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Thanks guys... really anxious to get out again, hopefully I can get out sometime after school this week. Quote
KAAATHLEEN Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Nice fish there kid, I was 50+ when i got my first 5 pound largemouth. How old are you? Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Sophmore in high school... And yeah I still have a bigger Largemouth than my dad but my dad has a bigger smallie... He caught a 4 pound smallie when he was my age in a resovoir in CT. But honeslty when we go fishing I don't care who lands the fish I'm just glad to see a bass in the boat! 1 Quote
