MilfordNHBasser Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 It seems I can ask you guys anything... So I'll ask what are you guys throwing for LMB and SMB in April? I'm thinking a StrikeKing KVD square bill Crankbait, jigs with trailers, spinnerbaits, and a finesse worm on a shakey head. Quote
RMcDuffee726 Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 I can almost see my kayak under my porch...sort of. 1 Quote

MilfordNHBasser Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Tinker Rd. Bridge... Seeing dark spots but nothing really yet Quote
b3rgy7 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 How's the lakes looking in NH? My section of MA was the "jackpot" for every snow storm this year.. we ended up with probably 115-120" of snow. The lake I like fishing doesn't look like its going to be fishable for another 3 weeks if I'm lucky Quote
MikeOGNR Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 This ones a shout out to you Shane. Caught these 2 beautys today on Denny Bauer green pumpkin jigs with rage craws as trailers. Slaying them on the Golf Courses down here. 1 Quote
MikeOGNR Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Here's another pic. Hitting BIG O TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!! Quote
llPa1nll Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Here's another pic. Hitting BIG O TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!! Nice Fish! Stick a Slob! I am dying to get out. I personally think you guys would be crazy to go in the river with a Kayak this time of year, but that's me. I can't even see tires on my boat trailer yet, let alone get over the snowbank to do anything. People were ice fishing the pond last weekend, and with this colder weather, I fear they will be doing the same this weekend. I would be surprised getting out before April 11th, not unless we have a really long warm spell with wind and rain. Quote

llPa1nll Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Hey last day out fishing for me was Dec 27th, I know all about loving to be on the water. Just being in a Kayak when the river is pulling lots of frigid water seems an unnecessary risk. 2 Quote

bobh64 Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Isn't the end of March usually time for melting ice not making ice? 2 Quote
MikeOGNR Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 When back on Okeechobee for the 3 day. Caught about 10 fish most between 1-2lbs. And these were the biggest 3 of the day. All in all good fishing......I love FLORIDA!!!!!!!!!! Could you believe my Uncle is 90 years old. Old scoundrels still got it in him to catch the big ones. All fish were caught on Manns Jelly Worms in Blackberry also on Spro Bronzeye Frogs. 3 Quote
MainelyBASS Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Isn't the end of March usually time for melting ice not making ice? Im hoping with this weeks weather, maybe Sebago will open up a bit near the pressure ridge on the big bay. If so, could be fishing by first weekend of April. Wont be the ideal location, but will be better than staying home and wishing i was fishing. Quote

Seems like its going to be awhile before ice out. I was ice fishing his past weekend. Still lots and lots of ice. Probably will be ice fishing a couple more weeks. Most places seem to be 2 weeks behind schedule. 1 Quote
gunsmoke Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Has somebody fastfowarded the clocks in Maine? Is it July 4th already ? Just crushing stones guys. Just got off of the phone with family to see when I could come up with dogs to start running in the woods and they told me July 4th sounds about right. Told me they're still buried. Quote
pcakes55 Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Still 12+ inches of ice in Hudson area as of this past Sunday Quote

The big bay didn't freeze over until February so it won't take too long to ice out. Quote
bobh64 Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I am hearing estimates of 1-2 weeks past last years ice outs for the deeper lakes in NH Quote
MikeOGNR Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 What you guys talking about? It's 90 degrees out?..... Ohh wait wrong state. Haha I was hoping when I got back in April that the snow would be gone but I'm gonna take it as a no..... Haha 1 Quote
