Guys, I just heard they are taping MLF, major league fishing, in the Belgrade lakes area by Augusta, Maine. My friends father got to meet some pros and got to take a picture with Tommy Biffle and Denny Brauer! Pretty cool since I've fished some of those lakes! MLF on tv in January. Can't wait

Anybody been on Winni this week? Wondered what this crazy weather may have done to the fishing? Going up tonight to fish tomorrow out of Lees Mills.

Haven't heard to much other then it's been real slow up there. I know there is a tourny on Winni the 30th so expect about 30 boats then.

Fished Pine River Pond for an hour or so. Got one small dink. Had too many people who didn't fish in the boat, will go back when I can get out alone. The place is all private and didn't see many others fishing

I know what you mean about non-fishermen in the boat, I brought my wife once....she said it's about as much fun to her as watching grass grow. So now I know I don't have to ask her to go fishing anymore :)

My buddy has a camp on there and he told me it used to be a really good fishery when he was a kid.  He feels like the quality of the fish there has really decreased in the past 10 years or so, but he is not sure why.

My in laws live there so I'll try it some more. It looks like a great place.

Fished Horseshoe in Merrimack this morning. Lots of small fish but nothing to brag about

Nice fish Nev!

I got nothing at Mill Pond today

A hair more than 21 inch. I didn't take the time to weigh her accurate. She hit my 4 inch flatfish hard. I was fishing it fast cutting across Mt William pond. I am guessing she was down about 20 feet deep and I had a lot of line out. I was trying to fish as well as stretch out my line and reel it back so I had almost all the line out. I am guessing she was at the 4 1/2 to 5 lb area.

Stayed at and fished Lake Umbabgog State Park way up in the Great north Woods of NH.  The fishing was slow but I managed a nice 3lb smally at the end of my fist day.  There's nothing like fishing in a remote wilderness lake.   I hope to get up north again a couple more times this fall.  Here is a pic my buddy took and edited of me, that I though came out awesome.  I hope everyone else enjoyed their holiday and got in some fishing.

It's a awesome lake I have been fortunate to take a canoe out there several times. Smallmouth are awesome there and as you have shown there is nothing like the northern woods surrounding the lake. I stay in Errol and don't forget to stop at LL Cote sport center there is nothing like it around.

Bob, I went there not knowing about the remote camping they offer on some of the islands.  I'm going to plan a stay out there next summer for sure.  We ventured into Errol and stopped at LL Cote.  Also, the ride up and back on Rt.26 thru Maine was very nice.  A gem of a spot in NH!!

I agree it is a beautiful lake. Have gone up the last 3 years in the spring and stayed at paradise point cottages, they have docks there that you just keep your boat in the water. Smallmouth fishing is great even though they were illegally introduced into the lake in the 90's. I have caught a couple of large mouth and have seen a picture of a 8 pounder taken from there. It's great to go 5 miles up the lake and see no other boats. Be very careful of your lower end (do not motor in to close to shore) huge boulders and most are not marked.

I'm going to try Great East again tomorrow, clear sky's but its the last chance I will have this week.  Eventually I'm going to catch a fish on a chatter bait!

Fished Massapesic for the first time for a couple of hours. Got skunked but I did get to watch a hawk for awhile. I'm on a dry spell on this vacation but will keep plugging away

Fished Great East today.  Still no bass on a chatterbait, a couple of large pickerel but no bass.  The topwater bite was good first thing this morning, numerous largemouth 1 to 1.5 pounds and a 2.5 pound smallmouth great fight I could not keep the fish in the water.  I never did find the largemouth bite after the topwater bite died down and had to settle for fishing smallmouth on some rock piles (all small).

Always good to be on the water.

Fishing a high school tournament on the Connecticut in Hindesdale on Saturday, hoping to land a good bag. If anyone has some tips they'd be much appreciated!
