I also fished the Sebago tourney yesterday. That place sure can be tough. We got hailed on where we were too. We managed 7 bites for the day and 1 was a short. We weighed in 5 fish for 13.21 lbs. I have no idea where we finished. 1 st place was 22 lbs, they absolutely crushed them, very impressive. I think second was 18 lbs. Any where I can find the standings ? Any one going to do Kezar next month ?

if you want to send me your email, I can forward you the results. I will be fishing Kezar next month also. I fish all of Wayne's tournaments.

I have only seen people getting shiners at Winni.

I usually get them at places where a brook enters a river or around bridge abutments with slow moving water, a way to check if shiners are around is to take a piece of bread roll it into a small ball and throw it into the water, if you see the bread disappear quickly or being pushed around it's usually shiners pecking away at it, then just put some bread into a minnow trap and leave it for a few hours when you come back hopefully its full of shiners,   slow moving rivers are usually gd places to check.

I'll have to find a place maybe there's some slow moving water around the souhegan somewhere. Do you think River Dace could be used as well? I catch a ton of those when he try working for trout sometimes.

I can't comment on Dace, I would check the regulations and if unsure call proper authorities to be on the safe side.

who was talking about using 2 anchors ,  these are what i use and how i use 2.   16 inch brake rotor in back anchor from local garage.--- 12 inch brake rotor in  front to stop from spinning.  lighter to make it a little easier to pull up.

I adjusted the front rope a couple times till i got it to pull all the way up and out of the water when not in use.   easy to drop and pull back up from rear seat.

That was me haha. That is a cool idea I could make something like that in my machining class. Kinda like an anchor trolley.

Looks like Greateast is calling my name Thursday :) I will be a good boy and not fish on mama day Sunday. Also just watch a video on the bassmaster page catching a 8-12 largemouth on 6 pound test line awesome fish.

Just hit the Nashua River caught 3 perch in total lol, but at least I caught something. Went and fished all the stumps and trees I could find that were submerged pretty well. Gonna go back out tomorrow, might hit Lincoln Pond to see if I can at least get something. Feels out not catching a bass.

I know squarebill crank baits and wacky rigged senkos are working this spring what other items are working so I don't fall into a trap of not using something different.

Not that I have caught any monsters yet this season, but suspending jerkbaits have worked good for me so far this season.

Rage-Rigged Craws are turning on, too, along with swimjigs, and swimbaits.

My biggest fish so far was on a bitsy bug jig with rage craw trailer. I like those bitsy bug jigs because you can swim them, hop them, or drag them. Plus they're light which helps me slow down when the water is cold. Pretty much stick to brown/green or black/blue and match my trailer to it.

JIGS !!

Crankbaits and senkos too.

Water temps have been around 52-55 degrees.

Now is one of the best times of the year to catch your biggest fish of the year !

My most productive bait thus far has been a chatterbait with rage craw trailer. I fished a tourney on Powdermill Pond 2 weekends ago and 4 of the top bags were all caught on chatterbaits.

I have been going with a white chatterbait with a zman minnowz with mixed results
