Just got some pics from my buddy fishing Loon Pond in Effingham NH 5 and 6 pound largemouth's including a 5.8 smallmouth all on squarebill crankbaits and jerk baits. Why do I have to work instead of having fun playing in the water.

Wow.  I grew up in that area (Silver Lake and Chocorua), and thats the biggest smallie I've ever seen caught from there.  Really nice fish.

Went out today on Lake Potanipo just for a quick run. I never really liked it there not really much structure or cover even the shoreline is pretty bland. My friend caught 1 small one and I got skunked been using a jig and rubber worm got some bites, but nothing crazy. Gonna go out tomorrow morning at a better fishery hopefully get on some. Might have to try out some square bills tomorrow change it up a bit maybe got them too bit. Still looking for my first jig fish though.

Check out this beauty that I caught this evening on a chatterbait with a rage craw trailer. At 6 pounds 1 ounce, it is my 5th biggest bass ever. It sure made my evening!

Dude, that is a nice fish, congrats! You definitely take the prize for today. It was tough out there today. Nice job on finding that honey, though! Chatterbait/Craw is so deadly, it should come with a warning label.

Went out today for the 3rd time this season. Came out, yet again skunked kinda aggravates me can't seem to get anything going. Today the reason I got off early is I was getting blown around by the wind a lot and it was very hard to even catch a fish still couldn't get a bite on the jig, buzzbait, T rigged worm nothing. You guys must have some magical places around you for fishing cause I can't seem to get on one. Still gonna go out though just gotta figure out a better system for anchoring my canoe because getting blown around every time a gust of wind comes by sucks might have to buy a second anchor to keep me in one place. if anyone has some tips for me to maybe I am doing something wrong that be appreciated haha.

Two anchors will help.

Yea I was thinking that I don't think it's what I am doing most of the time I think it's the fact my positioning with my canoe is always off because I have 1 anchor and my front end will constantly get blown around moving me constantly after I cast so I have to adjust constantly.

I use 2 anchors in my canoe on super windy days, one in front, one in back..keeps you from swaying.

Did Sebago after not fishing it for 20 yrs got 2 fish for 4.71 added to the team standings, my biggest was 3.5 lb LM. Crazy Crazy day weather wise wind, rain. heavy rain and hail even watched my line float in the air because of all the static charge in the air.

Ok so quick question for all of you. Now I know none of you use live bait and find it to be an easy way of fishing, but my uncle and I sometimes do enjoy just throwing a live shiner or a craw dad out with a slip bobber every once and awhile. Now we usually use craw fish because they are easy to trap, but shiners are a favorite of mine. Does anyone know of where and or how I might go about catching my own shiners for bait? I can't seem to find a good source of where I could catch some myself and they are too expensive at bait shops. Any suggestions?

Got out of work a little early Friday and headed to Otter Lake.  Super windy, patches of rain and some big swells made for a tough day especially in a kayak with no anchors.  Managed 6 LM and 1 perch.  Biggest was only 16.5 inches, still nice to finally get out.

Sorry Mike cant help you on that one.

Literally the most frustrating day of fishing Ive had in quite some time. Caught 0 fish, had 0 bites. It was my first day ever on the lake. Ive been bass fishing for about 5 years now and just when you think you're getting better at it, you fish 8 hours and don't even get a bite.

I also fished the Sebago tourney yesterday. That place sure can be tough. We got hailed on where we were too. We managed 7 bites for the day and 1 was a short. We weighed in 5  fish for 13.21 lbs. I have no idea where we finished. 1 st place was 22 lbs, they absolutely crushed them, very impressive. I think second was 18 lbs.  Any where I can find the standings ? Any one going to do Kezar next month ?

Yes it was a day where you could not get a rhythm because the weather kept changing on you. I kept taking advantage when the wind died and casting tight to shore. I stayed in Turtle the whole day.

I have only seen people getting shiners at Winni.
