Nashua Nev Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 I had some good luck there last year with the brother in law, Straight out across the pond clear across the other side from the launch in the weeds on the right and just to the left of the launch in all the pads and weeds Quote
unhbass37 Posted July 26, 2012 Author Posted July 26, 2012 Nhbassin how is the ramps at both places? I'll be bringing my tracker that is why I'm asking. Quote
nhbassin Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Nhbassin how is the ramps at both places? I'll be bringing my tracker that is why I'm asking. Your tracker would have a tough time with the launch at Long Pond, but you should be fine with it at Gorham. I think Gorham is residents only, but I am not positive... no one gave me a hard time when I went there. Quote
Nashua Nev Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Gorham pond shouldnt be a problem to launch. I dont know about the resident only , i dont remember see a sign that said resident only. i have never been to long pond. Who can message me some directions. I tried to find long pond launch and could not. Is Long pond no gas motors? Is there a 3rd pond in that area? Quote

I went there today in my jon boat and it was packed with people fishing. Launch is really bad and you should have 4wd. Still caught 7 Lmb biggest was only 3 pounds. Use Google Earth as it will make it easier to find. Btw a trolling motor is all you need. Quote
PLombard68 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Has anyone been to Worlds End pond lately? Wanted to hit it up next weekend but not sure if it is worth it if it's to weedy. Quote
CLRinSNH Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Anyone fish Northwood Lake this year? Did well there last year, headed there this weekend. Was wondering if the smallies have taken that place over, seems like it's been the trend over the past few years. Quote

Super User Shane J Posted August 1, 2012 Super User Posted August 1, 2012 CLR, yeah, I've been out there, and no I wouldn't say smallies are taking over, really, but they're in there. Depends on how and where you fish. When I go there, I target the Largemouths, because I know for a fact, there are at least a few monster largies in there, but that's just me. Catching the smallies isn't really a bad consolation prize, especially since I've got 'em up to 4 pounds there. Quote
WinniMurph Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Couple of fish I picked up in a tourney on Winni last saturday. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted August 1, 2012 Super User Posted August 1, 2012 Hit Kingston lake this morning for 4 hours, caught 6 nice Lm, all around 2-3 LBs, except one fat 4.5Lber. caught 5 of them in deeper water, on a roumba wakebait. I also hit Cobbetts last Sunday for 4 hours and managed 4 good sized LM, all around 3Lbs and 1 fatass 4Lb smallie, all on swim jigs trailed with rage chunks. Quote

unhbass37 Posted August 1, 2012 Author Posted August 1, 2012 I have a key for the ramp. Wanna share it? Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted August 1, 2012 Super User Posted August 1, 2012 Wanna share it? If you would like, and you have room on your boat, I could go and spend a couple hours out there with you. It would have to be early, and we would need to be off by 930 the latest, as the beach opens shortly thereafter, and they frown upon boats being launched and landed while the beach is open. I have been going from 515-930, enough time to get on some fish. Quote

WinniMurph Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Didn't win. Some guy brought in an 8 pounder to the scales. Tough to keep up with that... Specially on winni Quote

Yeah we've fished tourneys there for the last 4 years and we usually are good for a 4lb LM and maybe another 3lb LM, then the rest smallies. Last year we had all 3lb+ smallies. I'm hoping for a good mixed bag this year, I'll let you guys know how it ends up. Quote
Nashua Nev Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I am just throwing this out there for anyone who may have a way to get into Cobbets legally or Gumpas pond. I can be there by 4:30 most mornings if any of you go that early. I can be at either pond with my 2 person canoe with paddles or trolling motor in the back of my pick up or with my 12 foot jon boat and troller in my truck or on the trailer almost any morning except thursday. Anytime anyone has a key and would like to take me fishing. I WILL BRING YOU FREE COFFEE AND BREAKFAST SANDWICHS. During the week i need to be back in Nashua about 9. , sundays about 10:30 or if anyone has an extra seat they would like to share for a few hours in their fishing machine, i will be very quiet and try to be a good learner Quote
Nashua Nev Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 there are bass in mill pond. put the canoe in for a few hours. with paddles no motor. they had the dredging machine in maybe 2 months ago ripping out a lot of crap Quote
unhbass37 Posted August 2, 2012 Author Posted August 2, 2012 Nev. We were just there and my son caught two. Biggest was 2.8. I only caught one. I was happy to see there still there. Quote
unhbass37 Posted August 3, 2012 Author Posted August 3, 2012 Personal best 11lbs 5oz . I wish I lived in the south. GRRRR!!!!!! Quote
Super User Shane J Posted August 3, 2012 Super User Posted August 3, 2012 That's an ok fish, but not a monster for the south. I'll show you a monster when I fish Falcon in November with Big O. His PB outta that lake is almost 20lbs. 2 Quote
Nashua Nev Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Was a good morning fishing the shore line at mill pond. Surprised myself with those fish. The biggest one inhaled a new zara spook nocker , 4 1/2 inch long. I was looking for a big pickerel that i saw. Quote
