bass anytime Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Between the weather and having one of my daughters get married (one to go), I have not been fishing in about 3 weeks! Heading to Great East tomorrow, hopefully we will find some active fish. Good luck with the truck repair Bob, hard to pull the boat without it. 2 Quote
bass anytime Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Back from Great East, caught about 20 LM most were 1-3.5 pounds with a couple exceeding 4 Lb. Most of the fish were caught right next to the shore on soft plastics, Rage Menace in Blue Gill and hawg craw tail in green pumpkin accounted for a lot of the fish. I spent way to much time fishing with jigs to only catch 1 fish on them, I must be doing something wrong! Enjoy the weekend! 3 Quote
MikeOGNR Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Got out today in the rain fishing was great caught 4 in 3 hours. They mostly went after Texas rig worms pulled through heavy weeds in about 8 ft of water. All in all good day even if it was raining was better than not doing anything. Here's a pic of one of my dad's catches. 1 Quote
MikeOGNR Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Went out at 4:30am this morning for a few hours before work and got on the fish right off the bat. Caught 3 smallies on Shane's old faithful lure the rage craw in green pumpkin color Texas rigged. Then after the smallie action decided to switch over to targeting some largemouth my dad caught a 3lb largemouth on a spro frog on some lily pads. All in all even if the work day goes bad still had a good day here's the pictures of the fish Quote
bobh64 Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Did Swains today nothing to impress 6 bass including 2 smallmouth nothing over a pound but it looks like the lake had another spawn lots of fresh week old beds. 2 Quote
MikeOGNR Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 MikeOGNR, have you hit up the spot lately? A few times here and there will be going there most likely this weekend. The beaver was coming within a foot of my canoe being quite the pain. The last time I was there. Quote
Phauren Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 That thing is mean, you try the other pond or just sticking to the one? Quote
MikeOGNR Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 That thing is mean, you try the other pond or just sticking to the one? Haven't really tried the other one do to it's just me carrying the canoe so it's a little far. Quote
MikeOGNR Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 So got some spare time today sucks I don't have my canoe down in Milford it's up at my camp. Anyone got any places I could fish from shore within 25-30 mins from Milford? Quote
MikeOGNR Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Went out today at a local pond near my house with a buddy of mine. Caught 2 pickerel and he caught a decent sized bass nothing to write home about, but it was better than being skunked that's for sure. Here's a pic of the bass Quote
pcakes55 Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Been having a pretty good year so far, here are some pics: 3 Quote
Nashua Nev Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 nice pics there of some nice fish. I am hopefully finally getting out tomorrow. Been playing hockey every morning, too many banged up goalies. I have been filling in and getting way too much ice time and not enough fishing time. That and a 10 day trip to Cali for one of the kids graduating from U.C. Davis. Quote

jbmaine Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 hi all, We hit Great East on Thur. Horn pond yesterday, and thanks to some great advise from Bob64 we are starting to be more productive. We spent a lot of time fishing the basins on GE. Caught more pickerel than bass but had fun. Our time on Horn pond was mostly spent fishing points leading to deeper water. Didn't catch too many but still had a lot of fun. (how can you not have fun fishing). Here's a few pics As you can see from the middle pic even the little ones were hungry Jim. 1 Quote
RMcDuffee726 Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Didn't fish for over a week and was on the verge of going insane. Went out to a new pond I found and finally put some good fish in the boat. At the end of the day I'd caught 8 largemouth. It was a nice couple hours on the water. This was one of the fish caught Quote
Super User Shane J Posted June 21, 2015 Super User Posted June 21, 2015 Biggest of the year so far. Measurements put her at 8.08 lbs (my scale said 7lbs2oz, but I was using my secondary bag and backup scale, so not sure it was completely accurate. She was 21.5" long and 21" girth!!) . Caught on a Rage Shad this morning. Biggest 5 went 26lbs. They were killing the topwater. Nice rainy Father's Day! Hope all the dads out there had a good one! 4 Quote
