Mainebass1984 Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Been looking at all the live web cams on Winni the shores are opening up now finally. I have finally reach my boat and now charging my batteries up, next up cleaning all the compartments and throwing away about a 100lbs of plastic baits I will never used that I have collected over the years. Â What are you throwing away ? Â I am sure there are people on hear that would be happy and willing to take some plastic of your hands. I also think there is a place on this forum where you can donate gear and baits you don't want. Quote
MikeOGNR Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Hey everyone who fished tournaments, I was wondering if anyone was looking for a non boater to take under their wing. I have some tournament experience, a boater license and my dad actually has a ranger that I fish out of very frequently. I however lack a towing vehicle of my own and my dad is pretty iffy on letting his 18 year old son take his brand new truck and boat out alone lol. If anyone wants a partner for tournaments then I am more than willing and able. PM me if you can, and thanks! http://www.nhbasscasters.com/contact.htm  Message David. You can just go to any of these tournaments as a non boater and pay and they'll put you with someone, Or you can join the club and pay the fees and B.A.S.S memberships and all that and become affiliated and they may have someone looking for a partner. They told me last year they had 2 or 3 people looking for a partner so I am sure they probably will have someone available. Also try this club they might have spots open too.  http://www.lastcastclub.com/ Quote
Nashua Nev Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Yea, do toss that old or used stuff. I will take it if no one else does. it gets reused to make new. 1 Quote

Mostly odd color worms swim baits craws and such about 4 yrs worth, most have been sweat(water) damaged I don't have the best filing system. Now instead of those plastic tray holders I am keeping them in the original bags. Quote

mebisho Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Dug my canoe out of the snow, charged up the battery, then drove by Naticook and saw people on the ice. Buzzkill! Seems like there may be a few more weeks. Although Horseshoe is getting more and more open by the ramp. Quote
mebisho Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 The only thing open are the 2 rivers They may be a little too fast for comfort, I fish alone. Don't won't my wife worrying that something may happen, since I don't know the rivers enough yet Quote

There are about 8 parking spaces, depending on how many trailers there are. Nev wil know more about the current this time of year. I went a few times last summer and the current was manageable I my canoe with a small trolling motor. The dam is up the river and Nev recommends fishing near there. I didn't go too far down the river from the ramp. I hope you don't mind my input, Nev knows it better than I do, but I can understand your concerns 2 Quote

Last year i fished horseshoe for the first time. did catch anything i was more testing out my kayak but im excited to get back there this year. i actually joined a bass club this year and i have 12 club tourneys. next year im doing the club and state events as well i love fishing. Quote
JoyoftheCatch Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Naticooks ramp is in veterans park. Â You follow the road(its a giant loop surrounding ball fields) and you will see the access point. Â There is a sign the boy scouts have put in with info on the lake. if you google map it look for a bunch of fields, then you should be able to tell where it is. Â Quote
bass anytime Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 A sad day, I went to stop in at Northern Bass Supply today (closed) it was sold to a company based in Connecticut. The days of walking in and buying off the shelves in Brentwood are over.  1 Quote

There aren't many big fish but there's always some action. The ramp is pretty good. I caught some good sized fish in Horseshoe, fishing the ledges and drop offs. My last trip there in November, I caught my best numbers using a medium diving Bagleys plug with a bluegill finish. In 8 feet of water. Can't wait to get started again Quote
bobh64 Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 From NYbass. com  Sandy: "As of 3/14 the Northern Bass store in NH is closed and everything(except me) moved to CT. If you go the http://www.northernbass.com you will see on the front page that we are open for phone and internet orders only. I am going to stay on with the new company so you can still call me with your order or place it on line. Once again I would like to thank all our customers for their support over the last 30 years and I look forward to the New NBS web site that will have all your fishing products on the east coast and still have the same great customer service! I will also continue with the NBS tournaments in 2015. See you on the water when it gets warm because I might have time to fish!!!!" 2 Quote
MainelyBASS Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Downright depressing...that is all. I have no other hobbies...this is all I have. 10 day forecast for my area (Sanford, ME) calls for snow Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with the high for the week being 43. Quote
