NEjitterbugger Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Fly Fisherman and I are going to go give it a go in a few hours... Hopefully we can put a little something together... 3 Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Well I had success this afternoon landing my biggest fish of the year at 4lbs 6oz on a KVD 2.5 natural perch squarebill!!! She choked it, bled a little but swam off strong! And I'm pretty sure Fly Fisherman got it on his GoPro, some editing is needed.... I did let some profanity slip LOL 7 Quote
Fly_Fisherman Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 In reply to Jitterbug's post, I am beyond mad. For whatever reason the video didn't save to my camera! I'm trying to find it but it doesn't look like it's there. 1 Quote

NEjitterbugger Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Had a good morning in Greenfield on zephyr, caught fish on a flipping jig with a rage lobster, a chatterbait, a squarebill, and on a swim jig with a rage menace.... 2 Quote

nhbassin Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Got out on Powdermill Pond yesterday for my first tourney. Ended up 4th out of 11 anglers with a 5-4 limit for 2 fish. Biggest bag of the day was just under 8 pounds and the lunker was 4-11. 2 Quote

Spent some time in te fall at draw down scouting some cover and creeks that will be submerged and went back to them this weekend with decent luck. What areas are your favorite pre spawn spots o BIP? Nashua Nev pipe in I think I've seen a post from u from there Quote
Backwoodsbasser Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 What's everyone here favorite spring / pre spawn waterbody in nh? Mine is either massabesic on the east bank or sunset lake on the east bank for smallies Quote
Bassintheweeds Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Tournament on saturday at little sebago, Finished poorly but I cant take cold weather fishing so the first and last one are ussually a bust for me. I caught 9.11 pounds in three fish, winning was 22 pounds with a ton of bags in the 18-20 range. Same pattern i used caught the winning fish, which was a wiggle wart reeled slowly on banks with rock and ~6 foot average. Funny story my fishing partner weighed in 6.66 pounds for the first bag weighed of the year, too spooky for me. Quote

Nashua Nev pipe in I think I've seen a post from u from there I fish BIP all the time. Go with my sons father inlaw who has a key for the gate. Other than that it's all private and very hard to fish unless you know someone who lives on it. I usually do pretty good there for smallies, although nothing very big. Biggest largemouth I got last year was around 3lbs. Haven't been there this year yet but hoping to hit it up this weekend. Quote

CLRinSNH Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Hit up Northwood, water was cold and they were still deep but was able to coax a few up, largest 4 would have weighed in at about 10lbs...two biggest are here...felt good to get the gear back in the water. 3 Quote
