I believe it is residents only, we parked at the elementary school though...

Just googled it and found out anyone can park in the 7 trailer spots across the street. Looks like I will try Wed around 2pm and see what happens. I have a seat if someone wants to go.

Hey tyfisher. My neighbor has a camp site on the pond but there is no "public access" per say. In Clark"s NH guide it states there is an access an I saw one that was roped off with a warning sign. If I lived up there I"d contact some one to see if it is private land now or if someone put up a chain and warning sign to keep out the public even though it may not be legal

Thank you very much for all the information and coupon. How does it handle. I'm 5'7" 192lbs and not a good swimmer at all so safety is my first issue. Although I will and always wear my life jacket,

size wise it should be roomy enough,  you sit a lot higher so you can see much more water surface much easier,  i find it plenty stable.  more stable than the sit in one i had.  It is wider and flatter.

Nice Job ,  Did you get her to the left of the launch in all the weeded area there?

I got her pretty much on the opposite side of the launch... We were fishing the edge of the thick pads, and taking some casts maybe 10 or 20 yards out, parallel to the weeds...

Jitterbug always screams at me to get the net out for little 2 lbers so when he wanted the net for this thing I didn't want to bother. However when I saw the dives this thing was taking at the boat I changed my mind!

2 pounders aren't that small, and they always lose a few pounds on the way in... LOL

Haha the other night right as it was just about dark out I hooked onto what I thought was the lockness and I was yelling to my buddy. Get the net! Get the net! Once in. Had a solid 1.2 largie. It felt huge. Must of be snagged on something

Went out last night for the first time in a month and a half.  The fish cooperated with lots of 1-2 lbs's.  I hooked into this 4lb 15oz beauty as well.

Did Swains last Weds but only caught a couple. Did Maine lake with my father sunday and caught 2 dozen with the biggest just under 4 1/2. I am convinced that finesse fishing is the way to go for me now.

Just got off Freese's Pond in Deerfield. I spent a couple hours out there, but got skunked. What's up with that place? Anybody ever get on 'em good there, or is it beat? I'd never been there before, but I have a buddy who just moved there, and we figured we'd throw the boat in and check it out. It's really full of pads, and it was tough to get around, so if it sucks, I'll be crossing it off my list forever. Hope ya'll are catchin' 'em good out there!

I live just down the road from Freese's and when I first moved there I tried going out there with my canoe a few times but only came up with a few pickerel and a few trout near the dam.  The only place I can catch bass there is from shore on either side of 107 where the water crosses under the road.  Sometimes after my son goes to bed I'll head out for an hour and fish from shore, and I can usually get a couple 2lbers with a power worm.  I have seen others in a canoe get some hits on a top water mouse over the pads but nothing huge.  I would never waste my time again putting in a boat there, but it's ok for an hour or two from shore every once in awhile.

There are a lot of areas of this pond that are unreasonable to get to with a boat, and that may be where the bigger ones are hiding.

Thank you, nmv. That's what I was hoping for. I guess if he ever wants to throw his canoe in there to mess around a little, then whatever, but won't bother with the boat and motor there.

Oh, and Nev, tell the boy congrats! That's a great fish!

Fished Swains this morning, I won't be going there for some time despite the fact I caught over 2 dozen fish the largest about 3 1/2 lb. It took me two hours of cleaning weeds off the trailer both on the lake ramp and at the house the weeds were so bad and thick at the ramp.
