Super User deaknh03 Posted June 5, 2013 Super User Posted June 5, 2013 Went to Onway lake today in Raymond for a few hours. Finally caught some decent fish. Caught 6 in 2.5 hours the smallest around 2.5 and the biggest just over 3. Nice launch. Seems to have quality fish in there no dinks at all that I saw. They were all over a Texas rigged senko. No fish on beds at all. Got two retrieving the worm to make another cast. Is the only launch the one where the beach is? Quote
jsc4324 Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 It's off Langford rd it's a state maintained ramp Quote
MikeOGNR Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Went out to Plesant Pond today in Francestown. Nice decent size place only 3 fish biggest being a pond was only out for 2.5 hours though in a canoe, but it seemed like a good area seeing as how there was so much good bass cover everywhere. Also some great hunting area up in that area aswell even saw 3 deer in a little old logging trail. Good day none the less Quote
Tyfisher Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Went to Bellamy Reservoir today for an hour and a half or so. Caught 2 on texas-rigged rage craw and trick worm. Second was a quality 2lber. Had one grab a hollow-body frog, but I just missed him. Been fairly good fishing from shore in the area (Dover, Durham), but nothing spectacular as of yet. 1 Quote
nhbassin Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 I went for a walk around Pinnacle Pond in Hooksett this week and found a complete rod & reel set up sitting in the woods with no one around. If you know anyone who lost one there this week, send me a PM with what kind of rod and reel it was, and I can set up a time to get it back to whoever lost it. 2 Quote

Nhbass603 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 I wanna get after some smallies this weekend, anyone wanna give me some ideas on where to head to... Live in Milford would like to keep the drive about an hour or less... I've tried pleasant lake a few times in Deerfield. Had some pretty good luck. Biggest was just under 3. And few other small ones. Few largies as well. Biggest being 3.5. Caught this one from the shore before putting the canoe in. Was kind of windy but had to once I pulled this guy up in like 3 casts. Quote

I live up the road and have been thinking about trying it out from the shore before I get my canoe out there. Quote

It is the Hooksett water supply and is illegal to fish, swim, or boat in unfortinately. I have "seen" average sized largemouth and smallmouth there, but nothing over 2.5 pounds. Quote

I saw the not boating signs and all the parking hassle is had so I called the hooksett pd and they said nothing about being illegal to fish.....and stated that there is a public gravel parking lot on pinnacle rd. how did you hear it was illegal to fish? I think you can even take a canoe or kayak out as long as you don't touch the water. Quote
PLombard68 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Where are all the big fish you guys are catching. I hit Tower Hill Pond and only caught two tiny bass. Also hit Scobie Pond, Massabesic and Island Pond with no luck on anything over a pound. Although I am shore fishing because I don't have a boat just yet. Don't laugh at the huge bass in these photos...lol 1 Quote

MikeOGNR Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Went out to Rocky Pond in Hollis for a quick 2 hours before work caught a 2lber. Gonna go out tomorrow morning and see if I can get on some good sized ones finally lol might use some Big Canadian Crawlers if nothing else will produce the hogs. Quote

You are probably right then. I thought one of the signs near the pump house said no fishing, but I am not sure of that. There are broken senkos in the water every 10 feet, so the place clearly gets some solid fishing pressure. If you do fish it, let me know how you do. Quote
bobh64 Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Did some fishing on a Maine lake today, Always nice to give a lesson on what a white buoy with black stripes mean's to some idiots who ran over rocks with their prop and then had the nerve to say the marker was in the wrong spot. I guess that's what drinking and boating does to A$$holes. 1 Quote
luvfishing Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 got out and hit hermit lake today for around 4hrs. Got to try out my berkely scale 3 bass. biggest was 3lbs 7oz biggest of the year so far. 1 Quote
MikeOGNR Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Went out to Baboosic Lake in Amherst. Caught 8 bass biggest being a 1.7lber, seems like everyone's using senkos nowadays too catch the good size ones. Anybody got any good tips on whats the best way to rig them for the big ones? I know for a fact there's some big ones in Baboosic and it seems like the bass have spawned already and are turning for their summer patterns in the lake planning on working that place a lot seeing as how my girlfriend lives there. On sunny windless days you cant beat a weightless wacky rigged senko pumkininseed for sunny days black with red or blue specks on cloudy days. Give it a couple tweaks with the rod tips to give it a clapping look then let it drop every few seconds. If you want the big one use the texas rig under any shaded cover. I love skipping it under docks and low branch's on the lake. My big boy on here is proof it works. Quote

I have never tried a senko texas rigged? hmm sounds interesting I assume you just throw it to cover let it sink then just reel and twitch?? and then ever so often just kill it and start again. Quote
