Hey has anyone been to Naticook in merrimack recently... Might go there with some friends this weekend, or any suggestions on where we should wet a line...

Wanna try a new spot...

Naticook is alright.. I guess usually a lot of smaller fish and not a lot of structure or cover to fish if I was gonna fish it though the last time i was there I fished around the island where there was weed cover and almost all of the docks on the lake. My best luck came from the big floating dock on the lake over by the summer camp. A guy who my friend built a deck for in merrimack pulled a 7lb bass out of the lake some ought years ago and its hanging in his house, but the last time I went there we caught a bunch of small fish mostly. Who knows though being spawning time the hogs could be up in the shallows and you could get lucky.

If you're looking for a nice place to fish I highly suggest Rocky Pond in Hollis. Lots of big boulders and the water is clear as ever last time I went there I had a great day of fishing. Also if you're willing to drive a little ways Plesant Pond in Francestown is a nice little spot to fish. Heres a topo map of it http://www.wildlife.state.nh.us/Fishing/bathy_maps/pleasant_francestown.pdf

Flints has been cleaned up of a lot of the weeds, there are some nice fish in there.    Naticook has lots of fish , i have only caught 2 close to 4 lbs.  everything else below 2 that i have caught.   if you want pickerel , it is also very good.

Yes a great lake, been fishing there about 40 yrs. It also is a very hard lake to fish and find the big guys. They never hole up in the same places. I have a pic on here someplace with one that was 6.2 my best for this lake.

There is a big fish or 3 in every body. its up to us to find them, The smallie fishing at  Bow lake is incredible,  if you know the place.  it takes time and effort to find them. the big girls are there, they dont get big by being stupid.   the back side of the small part of the lake has some huge pickerel in the weeds.  There is a small stream that flows in to there.  fish that area and back if you want some big pickerel.

if your one that likes to eat pickerel , take all you want , especially from Naticook.

That is true about finding the big fish I guess all it takes is just time on the water fishing and eventually you'll get them I am just looking for that hog.

I was just at Horsehoe Pond pretty nice place. Around the boat ramp there is a ton of area filled with weeds some looke old thoguh so I dont know how productive those might be, but what I was using was a texas rigged worm in black on a cloudy day and I hooked into about 3 fish 2lber being the biggest.

Went out today with no luck at all. Hit Massabesic Lake in Auburn but only managed a small Pickerel and sunfish. Threw everything i had at them. Kind of disappointing but a bad day fishing is better than a good day doing anything else.

Here are some pics from the past two days of fishing... We hit Potanipo, Sunset, Zephyr, and Powder Mill... Powder Mill didn't produce any bass for us, all other spots did well. Sunset had no fish over 1.5 pounds on saturday though. (The last pic is from a week or two ago, it shows the gut)....
