nhbassin Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Shane, those are some rediculous fish. Youve been KILLING them this year! Fmoore, I think you have inspired me to go to spofford between your monster smallies last year and that pike last week. Quote
jaystraw Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Went to Harrisville Pond yesterday, fishing was great! 21 fish in about 4hrs. Two 6lbr's a 5lb and a 4lb Bucket, rest were smaller fish. I hadn't fished there before, but I will certainly go back. Jaystraw, how was Franklin Pierce? Did quite well there last year. I had a fair day at FP. I was hitting it after two tourneys on the weekend, and a cold front had just moved in. I could barely make out the beds on the bottom because of the low light and the wind, and the bite just seemed off compared to previous years. I've loved that place in the spring the last two years when I lived in Hillsboro, but it was not a great day. I caught a good amount of fish, but only a few big smallies off of beds I knew from previous years. No big LMB's, and there are a lot in there. I might have just been having an off day. Quote
fmoore Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Hope everyone has a great weekend on the water! Here's what I've been doing all spring (pic is from Sat) - biggest all the way on the left at 20 pounds. 15 bass total with some blues mixed in. Quote
wagn Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Took the 4 year old out for his first real fishing trip at my secret spot. I ended up with a solid 3 pounder, but the highlight of the day was when the little guy landed a 2lb smallie on his tiny zebco rod. He landed that fish like a boss. 1 Quote
Super User Shane J Posted June 4, 2012 Super User Posted June 4, 2012 That's awesome, Wagn! I love it when my little man hooks and lands a fish all by himself, it's an incredible feeling. Quote

bobh64 Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 I am thinking of fishing Lake Massabesic for the first time what do I need to know about the lake other then the no fishing zone and 30 mph speed limit. is there a boat size? I cant find anything for boat rules. I will be using my tracker avalanche, Thanks Bob Quote
nhbassin Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I havent been out fishing for a few weeks now, but I went out this evening and caught this 4 poudner on a swim jig with twin-tail grub trailer. My biggest of the season so far. Quote

I cant find anything for boat rules. I will be using my tracker avalanche, Thanks Bob As far as I know there is no boat size rules as long as you keep under the 30mph. I fish there all the time with a canoe I launch off of 28 bypass near the no fishing zone. Excellent fishery with all kinds of species to be caught. Quote
CLRinSNH Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Anyone fish Sunapee lately? Headed there this weekend and was wondering if anyone knows where they are hiding on that lake. Quote
bobh64 Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Did some Maine fishing this weekend, Mousam and Little Ossipee if the fish were the same I caught all mine right on the shores edge's under the shadow of any bushes. skipped a wacky rigged worm weightless right under them. Quote
je1946 Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Anyone fish Sunapee lately? Headed there this weekend and was wondering if anyone knows where they are hiding on that lake. Haven't fished Sunapee in awhile, but used to be one of my favorites, from some of my friends they say it's fallen off since an infestation of rock bass, which seems to be going on in alot of the lakes in that area, gd luck. wagn Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Nice video Wagn! Good to see the kids getting into fishing! Nice fish! Thanks man. It was good to get out. With the two kids and my work schedule I can't fish as nearly as often as I used too. It's good to get on the water every once and awhile. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted June 18, 2012 Super User Posted June 18, 2012 Have any of you guys been up to Newfound lately? I'm doing a tournament there Sunday with a buddy, and was just curious as to what's going on. Thanks. Quote
WinniMurph Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Not newfound but fished winni all weekend. Fish are for the most part off the beds but still cruising shallow. Saw very few still on beds that I left alone to finish up the spawn. They are absolutely electric right now. (smallies) Hope that helps a little. Sorry its not Newfound exactly but they are similar bodies of water. I am in the meredith area so similar climate, weather, etc. Hope this helps a little. Good luck with the tourney hope others can chime in and help more than me. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted June 19, 2012 Super User Posted June 19, 2012 Yeah it does, and thanks. I figured they would have wrapped up the spawn a while ago, so thats interesting. Quote
WinniMurph Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Well you know what they say, fish are like people and are all different. Some may finish up in may others may take until mid june. Tight lines and good luck Quote
Super User Shane J Posted June 19, 2012 Super User Posted June 19, 2012 Thanks, bud, and you're absolutely right. I was thinking trying up shallow first anyway, and if that doesn't work, then the drop shot will in some of the channel drops. Quote
pipes18079 Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Good info on winni I got a club meet this weekend going out of Alton I myself wasn't sure where to look cause unfortunately I couldn't pre fish but shallow is good in my book 1 Quote
WinniMurph Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Not fishing any tourneys this weekend, but look for my boat. Blue and white 18 foot skeeter with a 6'4 guy on the front relaxing with a bud light and a fishing pole. Stress free weekend Quote
unhbass37 Posted June 23, 2012 Author Posted June 23, 2012 Anyone have access to get onto Gumpas pond in Pelham,NH? Everywhere is now blocked off with NO trespassing signs. I fished there last year and there was no problem. Quote
unhbass37 Posted June 26, 2012 Author Posted June 26, 2012 Anyone fish Turkey Pond in Concord? Can I get my bass tracker boat in there or is it Jon boat only? Thanks for the help. Quote
nhbassin Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Anyone fish Turkey Pond in Concord? Can I get my bass tracker boat in there or is it Jon boat only? Thanks for the help. I have fished turkey a few times with my Jon boat and twice with my buddy's bigger boat which is on a trailer. The launch on Clinton Street has a ton of big rocks that you have to navigate around on your way to the water, which is a pain, but you could do it. Ive done alright on the opposite side of the lake from the launch where there are little "islands" of bushes sticking out of the water. Quote
