Mattlures Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 You obviosly have that photo finishing down. Those baits look VERY good. i think the only improvent would be if you made some custom eyes for them. You can hand paint eyes on a piece of paper using metalic super fine paint pens and sharpies and then carefuly cut them out. Then put a drop of epoxy on the cut out eye and it will be a custome domed eye. I am not saying your baits need this as those are some of the nicest I have seen. Just something else to play around with. Quote

I have several of your swimbaits, that I have bought over the years. They put fish in the boat!! I tried the custom eyes last year and had a few come out fairly nice. I painted them with an airbrush, following Solarfall's tutorial. I have never tried it using metalic super fine paint pens and sharpies. I will definately give that a try. Quote
loodkop Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Those are very nice. I love the photo finishes! I run around with phone in hand showing it to everyone in range. Even my wife is getting into this asking if there is anything new posted. Thanks for sharing. Quote

Big Bass Man Posted April 11, 2012 Author Posted April 11, 2012 Thanks guys!! I have to give credit to my good friend Husky on TU, for sharing the tutorial with everyone. It was great of him and Gene to pass this on to others. Getting your blending right is what makes them come to life. There was a lot of time behind the airbrush, before I finally got the look I was after. I still try to learn something new, every time I am out in the shop!! Quote
