Two of our sponsors, *** and MegaStrike, have recently

introduced new spinnerbaits. These are as close as you get to

"custom" lures. I suggest picking up a couple from both companies.

I am just now starting to get into Spinnerbaits.  War Eagle is the best I have tried so far.  I have also had some success with Terminator.

I do plan on picking up one of the new Megastrike Spinnerbaits.

I have been using terminator, but would give megastrike a try.

I only use spinnerbaits in murky water and/or during significant wave action.

For this reason, I ordered a bunch of custom-built spinners with a large, dark, single Colorado blade

with a black & red skirt (red turns black in low light).

Unfortunately, "Heavy Cover Spinnerbaits" had to close its doors due to health reasons.

IF and when my spinnerbait stash runs low, I'm sure that Russ *** can fill the bill.

War Eagle is my number one.  Revenge is a close number two.  Terminator Custom Tungsten comes in at my number three.

I have a lot of Terminator because they go on sale all the time. With spinnerbaits I don't stress on brands too much. As long as it has a good hook and a good swivel I'm happy. Anything else can and will be changed as conditions change.

Stanley wedge, minnowhead, vibra shaft, and compact series for my big lakes. And ol school H&H's for ponds

x2

The Wedge Plus and Icon have been working very well for me lately. In the past year I've bought a bunch of different brands/models, but the Stanley Wedge Plus in "Golden Bream" outperforms all of them on my local pond.

Knuckle Down Lures makes some great spinnerbaits. They have some awesome paint jobs on the heads and skirt colors that you wont find anywhere else....you really should see the sexy shad he makes.

S.O.B Mini Me is my favorite, Dee the owner will also customize it to your specifications. In my opinion most spinnerbaits are sold with blades that are too big so I have to cutomize it, with S.O.B it is exactly the way I want it.

I have caught more on my Booyah Mini Shad spinnerbait than any other spinnerbaits I have. Strike King Rocket shad gets second place, I think there is something to the smaller sized spinnerbaits that just produce for me. In general I have been using smaller lures and soft plastics and that has been paying off as well.

Used Strike king, Booyha, and some cheapies..2 weeks ago I went to my local tackle shop and picked up a double willow 1/2 oz spinnerbait made by Northland. I'd never heard of them, I took a chance on one, cost was 4.99....after catching a few fish on it..I'm sold. Although I'd really like to try some of ***'s spinners.

Northland and Lindy Tackle go all the way back to the Fishing Facts magazine (1960s), followed by the In-Fisherman (1970s).

Basically so-so tackle, but like you said, now and then a real winner.

During their heyday, Ron & Al conducted their so-called "Magic Act".

They'd go to the right place at the right time, and document the success of ANY lure (as if we didn't know).

They came clean after launching their highly successful In-Fisherman magazine.
