Maduece Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 What a day! Only been fishing a few yrs but toward end of last summer I started taking it a bit more serious. Paid off 10 fold today. 11 bass in 3 hrs using senko worm "rainbow trout", wacky rigged. The pond I'm fishing is not marked on any maps I've seen by any name. Its fed by the Quequechan river through Fall River,Ma. Eventually it runs directly into the South Wattupa pond via tunnels underneath our highways. This pond sits directly nw of S Wattupa on opposite side of Brayton Ave. So if you've ever been to the S Wattupa area you may know what pond I'm talking about. Its only about 3 ft deep atm due to the lack of rain and the fish are sticking around the dug out areas of the channels. From 8-9 this morning they were slamming almost every other cast, was great. I'm sure this is small and some will chuckle, but this is decent size for this little pond smack dab in the city. Also it looked like a few were still carrying eggs if that info helps in this area. hjsmyth Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Nice fish and in the city a lot of these small ponds or rivers get little attention. I am new member and been fishing my local river which gets very little fishing pressure but holds some great fish. I do most of my fishing from kayak also let me get to fishing areas with even less pressure. I have been out a few times this year see attached picts. I fish mostly by myself so picts were from my iPhone not easy taking picts. Hope you enjoy. Quote
