B@ssCrzy Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 These are some of the best posts i have seen in a while!!! Sorry to see this gent go. He brought out some classic laughs. Just for giggles maybe the mods could send him some more junk mail. 1
Aluma-Bass Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Quote Glenn's Translation I'm quitting your forum because my feelings were hurt. I was only here for one reason and that's to suck all the information I can from you guys without giving anything in return. I mean look at me. I've been a member for three years and only have 16 posts and heck, this is my first post in over a year. I wanted it to be fast and free but I don't want to hear all the stuff about the advertisers. Who cares if they help keep it free. I just want it my way and because I'm not getting it my way I'm going to let everyone know that I'm leaving. I hope it hurts your feelings.
Hornytoad 10 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 It is a terrible shame that someone can so dramatically misinterpret a simple message such as catch and release, you are right, catch and release is not a law, but for a serious fisherman with a true sense of sportsmanship it shouldn't have to be. and as for your comment on people trying to get you to go out and buy things, as glenn stated, their not making you buy anything, it is just advertising. However I'm sorry that you have been offended.
Super User bowhunter63 Posted April 5, 2012 Super User Posted April 5, 2012 CPR IS HERE TO STAY.More and more fisherman relize how imporant it is,As far as rods reels and baits can we really have enough...Great site here i just wish i had more time to be on.C ya
Tony Monticelli Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 i catch and release myself im not capable of eating fish everyday of the week but i catch and keep also LOL... it is annoying when your say catching trout or whatevers on the dinner menu and someone there keeps hint hinting you that it would be good to let them go and then maybe you could catch a big one someday and your like really thats ok this is perfect size any bigger and it wouldn't fit in the pan. i think ive seen more members here comment that they do the same and there nothing wrong with catching dinner so i don't get the c and r complaint really.. i mean there always someone out there thats is all hyped up on c and r but when they leave the lake everyone else is standing there like wow that guy has issues.
scrutch Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 anyway.... since this topic is basically void i suppose its open season for thread drift? im thinking of a number between 1 and 1,000, what number am i thinking? ZERO.
Tony Monticelli Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 its a number that can be found somewhere in this thread?
fadetoblack21 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Wow, if you don't like catch and release you don't have to practice it. I tend to keep some for the table every once in a while, but I don't get all bat sh** crazy over the catch and release topics on here. Also, no one is forcing you to buy ANYTHING that you don't want to buy. I have found quite a bit of good gear that I never knew existed just by reading on these forums. I have also gotten some great deals from the advertisers on this forum. You don't have to read the advertising and catch and release topics if you don't want to. This site has been a fantastic resource for me, and I'm sure many others, to learn and grow as a bass fisherman. Great info about rods and reels and boats and much more. If you can't see that then you have no need to be here and I'm sure will not be missed by anyone.
Tony Monticelli Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 ok im leaving till the morning before the girl kills me for sitting on the computer all night... goodnight everybody..
scrutch Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Bravo Glenn! Stiller, thanks for the laughs! I'm watching you Gaylord Focker! "What? You don't like me. I don't like your little red outfit. It makes you look like a little demon baby. Maybe I'll get you a little pitchfork for Christmas, so we can put you on a can of Underwood ham. I'm sorry I can't make little poop sounds and I can't make little things that tell people when I want to do things. But I have a sign for you."
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted April 5, 2012 Super User Posted April 5, 2012 Awesome, Gene. Just awesome. You get a gold star for proper translation.
JigMe Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 You are an adult right? If you want to keep few fish for dinner, then just freaking keep the d**n fish. I am curious, who is making you buy stuff here? The sponsors here offer some great deal on their product, for example, NorthStar and Rage Craw. I have caught many decent bass on Northstar finesse jig, and the price is very competitive. you can't find deal such as 10% off for BR members anywhere else, you need to get your head checked out.
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 5, 2012 Global Moderator Posted April 5, 2012 I've been an active member for at least a couple years now, have over 2,000 posts, and this is the first post I've seen him make. He will not be missed.
Super User NorcalBassin Posted April 5, 2012 Super User Posted April 5, 2012 Later... we'll see you next year for post #17.
shimmy Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 It still hasn't completely sunk in that he is gone. Anytime anyone experiences trauma, the best thing to do is to grieve and attempt to emotionally experience it over and over. If i choose not to think about it, i will be flooded with emotions later on and will be unable to control myself. Stiller, you will never know how much you hurt me. Your 16 posts will never be forgotten and have forever changed my perspective on fishing, marriage, and life. I say every night around 12 we all join together on this particular forum and talk about it. I wonder what he would have said had he just posted one more time. No, that thinking gets me know where. I hope he's in a better place. Maybe we will feel his presence when we reread this thread every morning noon and night. Time to go and kiss my little girl Stiller Jr. goodnight. I will wait till she is older to tell her what happened.
Super User slonezp Posted April 5, 2012 Super User Posted April 5, 2012 shimmy, I have spoken with BR staff. Outreach programs are out of the question as we are down a member and no longer eligible for federal aid in this time of dispair. Buckle up little camper. It's gonna be ok.
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted April 5, 2012 Super User Posted April 5, 2012 Released into the oil That better be Bass or I ain't eating. LOL, looks like you over cooked the fish and under cooked the fries. And Lord only knows what you did to the peas.
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted April 5, 2012 Super User Posted April 5, 2012 Geez, how come I never get this much attention? Where's the love for me? I don't eat the bass, I just leave them on the shore to die a slow death and rot.
gr8outdoorz Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Hahahahahahaha!! Stiller if ANYTHING about fishing gets you that upset you don't need to give up this forum...you need to give up fishing!!
