WookieeJedi Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 I got into some good topwater frog action at the lake today, it would have been better, but the weather turned and I had to leave. I will fish in rain and wind, but draw the line at hail and vertical lightning. Is there a better way to start a day? Quote
Super User QUAKEnSHAKE Posted April 4, 2012 Super User Posted April 4, 2012 Frog bites are awesome What would you say is your strike to hook-up ratio? Quote
WookieeJedi Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 Today the ratio was about 10 to 1, maybe even higher. They were in the weeds and would take multiple swings. If they didn't get hooked, I just wait a couple of minutes and toss it right back to them. Sooner or later, they eat it. For me, a frog bite is just about as good as it gets. It is frustrating and exhilarating all at once. Quote

bayouXpress Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I've been devoting at least 30 minutes or so every trip and have not got on a top water bite yet. Very surprised too with the way they were biting last week. Quote
