Super User 00 mod Posted April 4, 2012 Super User Posted April 4, 2012 I have seen this same picture a couple of times floating around over the past couple months, so I would assume it isn't true! http://www.prairiestateoutdoors.com/index.php?/pso/article/monster_crappie_out_of_kinkaid_lake/ http://shortarmguy.blogspot.com/2010/05/did-you-hear-about-4-12-pound-crappie_16.html Jeff Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 4, 2012 Global Moderator Posted April 4, 2012 I believe the fish was in the 4lb range and was caught last year sometime. Still a huge crappie though. Quote

Super User bigbill Posted April 11, 2012 Super User Posted April 11, 2012 I caught one like that it was the size of a 5 gallon bucket lid. I was fishing on a full moon phase with a front comming in. I love fishing by the moon phases.(mauri charts) Quote
heyitskirby Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Don't know if this is confirmation that it was from Kerr/Buggs or not, but someone I work with who is from the area showed me the picture on his phone and swore it was 8 lbs. Would think it would make news like the Blue Cat from last summer if it really were a big time record. Nice fish, though. Quote
