  1. Looking for a replacement to the Xcalibur One Knocker. Booyah is amazingly dumb for dropping all the good colors, and their customer service has said they are making them again, then they say they're not next time I inquire, so it's time to move on. Not paying 20 or more for these. Are there any other one knocker style lures? They consistently catch more fish over lures with multiple rattlers. Preferably up to 1oz. I use from the 25 to the 100 size for different fish.
  2. Does any body notice a difference between the old and new one knocker?
  3. This is purely information that I've gathered on Xcalibur baits take it or leave it, I don't want to start a downward thread! I know there's PRADCO Outdoor Brands/EBSCO Industries and they play a big role in distribution and probably production, I don't know the in's and outs of that end. EXCEPT after see stock depletion in chains stores, backorders online and talking to 2 different mom and pop owners that have contacted PRADCO after my suspicion and confirmed that they are going away. What "going away" at this stage means this is purely information that has been given to me. Can someone, in the know, shed any light on this...Or either confirm or deny it, I personally would just like to know for sure.......
  4. I've had a lot of people asking me if I know what happened to the lure brand XCalibur. They were popular for their hard baits such as the Xr50 rattle bait, Zell Pop, and the XCS Square Bill. Personally, the Xr50 is the best trap to ever be made. More specifically in the Pearl Melon color. The reason for their disappearance is not because they went out of business. The manufacturer of XCalibur baits, Pradco, is also the manufacturer of BOOYAH. Much like Pure Fishing is the manufacturer of Abu, Berkley, and other companies. They simply took the most popular baits and reincarnated them under BOOYAH. The previously known Xr50 is now the Hard Knocker. Likewise, the Zell Pop is now the Boss Pop. I wouldn't be surprised if they come out with a reincarnation of the XCS. The baits still catch fish.. And big ones. Try them out if you have not yet!
  5. Short report here: Snuck in a few hours of fishing at a lake I have never fished before yesterday. Got on the water around 0900 under extremely overcast skies. Temperature was about 70-72 degrees and the wind was blowing about 10-15 mph constantly and had some significant gusting. Trolled almost the entire length of the pond without a bite on Jig, Senko, Horny Toads, Chatterbait, Spittin' Wa...the list goes on. Most of the lake was clogged with vegetation, but I went towards the spillway area and the vegetation dropped off, and I started getting some nice looking grass coming up with my jig. I'd wasted probably 90 minutes without a fish, so for fun I slapped on one of my Spro Aruku Shads in Chrome w/ a silver back. Managed to land 2 fish in the remaining 30 minutes I had. Nothing Special but here is a picture of one of them - didn't even bother to weigh him, maybe 2lbs and a bit - at most.
