  1. I’m looking to add more stupid tube setups to my arsenal & I don’t want to waste any more money getting the wrong sized stupid jighead or wrong sized tube. (See pic below, having trouble finding a good tube to go with these) I’m wanting a weighted weedless presentation for my tube setups and I’m wanting to know what brand/size tubes people use and what brand/size/weight stupid jig heads to pair with them. I need a finesse (2-3”) weighted weedless tube setup and a normal (3.5”+) weighted weedless setup as well. Sometimes I’ll even use a shaky head setup with tubes and use a a little under 1” of plastic worm inside as my base. If anyone does this and has a favorite set up let me know! Im going to try out the V&M pair on tacklewarehouse. Sounds like their 1/8 3/0 will pair well with the 3.5” tube. As of now, the owner phantom is the only one I’ve found to work well for me. What are some favorite stupid tube set ups you all like to use?
  2. Just finished putting my rod tube on the ol' green Burban! Stoked about it! This thing fits all 6 of my go-to setups which consists of 5 baitcasters and 1 spinning reel. Longest rod is 7'11". It could probably fit more. It wasn't a snug fit at all. if any of you are thinking about doing this, it costs about: 75 dollars - Schedule 40 10 foot by 6 inch pipe (hardware store) 45 dollars - Conduit Carrier 6 inch end caps (Amazon) 30 dollars - Spray paint (took 2 and a half cans! And I'm still not happy with the result! If I could go back I'd probably use a brush or roller.) 10 dollars - lock 5 dollars - Sand paper 4 bucks for the 2x6 board because I needed more clearance on the STOCK suburban roof rack. Didn't even need a 500 dollar rack to do this project! 200 dollars a week - for the therapy I'll need from using my wife as a helper in mounting it (all in jokes! My wife was actually super helpful and we got it mounted in about 20 minutes)! Most guys cut the pipe down to 8 foot from what I've seen but I left it at 10 feet because I've got the suburban not a pickup. Love my suburban!! I highly suggest doing it if one of you have been on the fence about getting into it or not.
  3. Hi, I recently bought a "Lew's speed stick, signiture Hank Parker rod from Walmart (spinning). It's 6'10, medium power, fast action. There was no price tag around and when they scanned and typed it in, it was unknown in their system. I couldn't even find it online. So we discused with the manager a price of $29.97 and paid that. I still don't know what the real price is, any ideas?

Hey guys, this year I want to fish tubes more I feel like I could really produce with them. I've only fished a tube once, and I did not catch anything. I was curious if you guys had any recommendations on brands/jigheads and tips for me! Plus how are you rigging them? Thanks guys! -Payton
  5. I was interested in trying this Lil' Corky trick with a tube bait as discussed in this video. But I am not clear where exactly do you put it? I generally use a 3.5" tube but it just does't seem to look right no matter where I position it. Can someone give a little more detail on this technique?
  6. I am looking into doing some molding for the jigs and weights I use the most, mainly tube jigs and drop shot weights. I was wondering if anyone knew of any other companies that sold these kind of molds. I already have the do it molds drop shot mold so i don't need one of those, but the tube jig molds are expensive and they don't seem to have much with the sizing I would like (assortment from at least 1/16 to 1/2 oz). Anybody know of anything? Also, was thinking I could get the teardrop jig mold (#3287) instead, since it goes down to 1/16. Would those be able to be used as tube jigs without hurting any action? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
  7. What tube jigs do all you smallmouth guys use? I've used some cheap ones I got online, and i love confidence baits draggin heads, but i want some traditional jigs for Sturgeon Bay.
  8. Evening all, I’m looking to buy my first St.Croix and have a question about the Avid X. Which model would you recommend for these baits. Z-Man T.R.D + 1/10 & 1/6 jigheads Gitzit 3.5" Tubes + 1/4 jighead Roboworm Fat Worm 4 1/2" + 3/16 shaky head Rage Tail Baby Craw 3“ + 3/16 jighead ( I prefer spinning) IMO the 6.9ML/XF (1/8-1/2) or 7M/F (3/16-5/8) but not sure about that. Sorry for simple linguistic expression Thanks
  9. Anyone in Kansas fish with tube jigs? I've been having some luck with 2 3/4" jigs in flooded timber catching crappie and smaller bass, but am unlucky and 0-fer with the 3+ inch tubes with jigheads or weighted hooks. Any suggestions or comments?
