  1. Hi everyone, Just want to kinda report last couple times I was out in southern CA for bass fishing. I was trying everything I mean top water in mornings and try Trig multiple worms and creatures and jigs and jerk baits and crank bait and spinner and buzz bait deep to shallow, grass submerge and mated surface frogs and pop-r and punching, even I got some bluegills and hook to circle hook as live bait, NOTHING. I can see them they follow glide and large swim baits ONLY FOLLOW no bite, I did use tubes as well I got 1 bit on tube and not hook. I used night crawlers Carolina rigging, 2 bites no hook. That was it, I am giving it a break today, starting next week going out on 24 hours camping style fishing in a lake as well. Thats brutal so hard, I never thought I can get nothing in 3 trips, The good news is I am not giving up and going to continue, how about you guys, how you doing?
  2. I went to Sam Rayburn for the first time since February, the water since has come back down to pool level, and from the looks of it most of the deep hydrilla has been killed off. So, I thought it would be a no-brainer that the fish would be set up offshore and that would the deal. After fishing about 4 hours on various bush piles and boulders, ranging anywhere from 16-34 feet I could only come up with a single spotted bass. I was a Using a Spro DD-90, a Berkely foot long power worm on a carolina rig, and a Cumberland Pro 1 oz hair jig. After I gave up the offshore bite, I went to the the backs of coves and flipped some brush in the late afternoon and was able to pick off a few fish including a 5-pounder to salvage my day. But, it still left me puzzled, why I couldn’t catch anything offshore? Did anyone have this issue at Rayburn?
