    Hi everyone, Just want to kinda report last couple times I was out in southern CA for bass fishing. I was trying everything I mean top water in mornings and try Trig multiple worms and creatures and jigs and jerk baits and crank bait and spinner and buzz bait deep to shallow, grass submerge and mated surface frogs and pop-r and punching, even I got some bluegills and hook to circle hook as live bait, NOTHING. I can see them they follow glide and large swim baits ONLY FOLLOW no bite, I did use tubes as well I got 1 bit on tube and not hook. I used night crawlers Carolina rigging, 2 bites no hook. That was it, I am giving it a break today, starting next week going out on 24 hours camping style fishing in a lake as well. Thats brutal so hard, I never thought I can get nothing in 3 trips, The good news is I am not giving up and going to continue, how about you guys, how you doing?

    I’ve been fishing solo a lot lately in the canals of west Kendall due to Covid for something to do. In the best I’ve had a lot of luck using rapala shad raps. For a couple weeks now I haven’t caught a fish and I’m starting to wonder if I’m using the wrong lure or I’m a fishing in the wrong canals. Is there anyone currently having a lot of success in an area using a specific type of lure? I appreciate the insight.

    Thanks for your time, I'm just rejoining the site again after not visiting for probably a year now. I would really appreciate any help on where to find summer bass. I live in southern Ontario, and primarily fish Lake Scugog and Rice Lake. I was out last weekend on Scugog, and we were mostly fishing shallow flats that lead right up to reeds with pads and grass spread throughout. Scugog is a very shallow lake, average of 5' with a max of around 20-22'. I hooked up 4 largies no bigger than 2- 2.5lbs and a 1 pound smallmouth while I was waiting to load the boat on the trailer The fish I caught were on a chatter bait, flippin tubes, and a spinnerbait. I just can't figure out where to find larger quality and quantities of fish. Should I be out on the deeper flats relating to weed edges and such? Instead of fishing so shallow for most of the day? What are some main lake features that are good starting points for the day? What are your favorite techniques for covering water quck on these deeper flats? Heading out to Rice Lake this weekend, and I definitely will be hitting deeper water with a flippin jig, some big okeechobee craws and other big creature baits, and probably a spinner bait, and I might try some medium diving cranks.
