  1. Hope everyone is enjoying their ice out time. Up in massachusetts as I’m sure most know lead jigs are not allowed. Being from Florida I have apparently been breaking the law the last year and would like to rectify that problem. The issue I’m face with is the lack of known sources for quality lead free jigs and different weighted heads. Ones that I really like are the siebert brush jigs and mega strike jigs, I really like the way the mega strike jigs stand up. 7nfortunately they do not appear to carry a lead free version of the Shakey heads. Does anyone know of sources that have a good lead free Shakey Head in that style or perhaps a mold as I was all set to start pouring jigs until I realized I could not use lead. Thanks Brian
  2. I have two cheap chinese so called bite alarms. They are only good for shark fishing because normal size fish can't trigger the alarm. Even cat fish couldn't. So, I'm think of creating a simple carp bite alarm. I stuck on the sensor part. What would you recommend? PC mice rotary encoder is not good for this. To use a reed sensor the cercuit needs to be modified, which I don't want to mess with. Any other ideas? Thanks.
