    Hello, all I wanted your thoughts between these two rods. I wanted a longer rod to cushion more headshakes and fish shaking me off. I want to improve my landing ration with little paddletail swimbaits, ned rigs, dropshots and small topwaters. I have narrowed down to both of these 7'6 rods and wanted your opinions on which you think is better and why. Thank you!

    Well...not wanting to let this go but thinning the heard of some higher end gear. Selling a 7-6 Daiwa Steez " the one". Rod is in pristine condition and will come with rod sock and tags unattached. I no longer use PayPal so a check in the mail works. I'll ship well packaged and insured. $460 plus freight. I also have a new SC legend tournament bass 7'-4" MH M glass cranking rod (2022) model available (pics on request) $250 + freight

    I was curious as to what the best uses for this reel are. I’ve been using it for a little while now, but I’m not necessarily sure what techniques it’s really MEANT for. Of course, the shallower spool will have something to do with it. The description on Daiwa’s site, and some other places, vs people’s personal experiences have confused me. Can it handle heavier applications or is it meant only for lighter/finesse applications? I own this, a zillion, and the new SS Air TW, so this will decide whether or not I keep this reel. Otherwise I plan to sell it and use it to buy a spinning for dropshot/free rig, etc… Thank you all in advance, any information is appreciated.

    I've been a big Daiwa fan since the release of the Tatula SV and have been primarily fishing Daiwa since. Still however there is this affinity with shiny things lol! So who has the best high end baitcasters? Daiwa or Shimano? Talking specifically USDM not JDM. I currently own: 3xTatula SVs: 6:3:1, 7:3:1, 8:1:1 Zillion SV 6:3:1 Curado 70 7:2:1 I'd like to hear from everyone who reads this.

    Good evening! I have a strange issue with my Daiwa Steez SV LTD 105 XHL. I can cast 4 gram (1/7) hard plastic without a backlash with the magnetic break in the zero. I am not all that good, I know that. I cannot find the issue. Everything seems to be working properly. However the mag break seems to be acting way too strong. And the bearings are brand new Hedgehog Studio Air BFS... Can you guys help me with this?

    Everytime I make a post on here I get more nervous about picking the right baitcasting reel, so let's hope this is the last time for a bit. I am going to start using baitcasters after years of using spinning setups. I am going to buy a st. Croix legend xtreme casting rod. medium heavy fast action for all around fishing. for the reel I wanted to use something that can keep up with the rod, and also one that can be used in saltwater. I was thinking about the shimano metanium mgl, but I wasn't if that reel would be the best for the rod. please leave your thoughts and suggest any other rods and reels.

    Im looking for a 105 or 110mm swept handle for my Steez. Right now I have a 110mm Avail straight handle on it. Any suggestions?

    Is this basically a USDM version of the SS SV with four more bearings and a different paint job?
