  1. Hey, new to bass resource. So far I'm liking it. My main problem I've noticed is that when I go shopping for new baits I just grab stuff I've seen people use in videos... Like ltb's and none of it seems to really work here in Washington. Like go into the crank bait isle..... Do you buy lipless , square bills, mid divers and deeps? Same fir any other bait style in stores. Anybody have ideas on what's worth getting and what's not worth getting? Keep in mind we have gills, perch, and pumpkin seeds for our "bait fish". So buying a shad colored bait doesn't help me any. I hope this makes sense, any help will be appreciated.
  2. Hello, I'm a younger angler looking for the best all around soft plastic rod/reel. I'm almost 15 so I am somewhat on a budget as I don't have a job yet. I want the rod and the reel to be less than $120 dollars. The rod and reel combo will be used for soft plastics, (Texas rig, wacky rig, weightless, and some drop shot). Any suggestions? Thanks.
  3. So I'm a pretty big believer when it comes to rattles on my jigs, frogs, and Carolina rigs. I saw this new rattle on the market recently that some of you may have heard of. They're called "Sonar Balzz" produced by Hog Farmer who are known for their A-rigs. I understand they are bead-sized balls that float with 6 ball bearings inside that produce the sound and a hole through the middle for attachment (for those who may not know). I am, however, skeptical to try them. Does anybody know how, if at all, to attach them to a jig? It would up my flipping and swim jig game a bunch. And, how many come in a package? Can't find that number ANYWHERE.
  4. I use a ton of soft plastics and with it spend even more money at tackle shops resupplying. I'm trying to get into hand pouring and injecting but again the molds are a little too far out of my price range right now. Does anyone know of a good place to buy bulk soft plastics or anyone who makes their own and sells 100's at a time? Any help on this is good help, I'm a college student and would like to not have to choose between fishing and food anymore.
  5. HI guys! I am 15 and I am somewhat of a beginner fisherman. I have fished with pre-rigged rubber worms for a few years but now I would like to start fishing with soft plastic baits instead. The pre-rigged rubber works get snagged to easily and the weedless styles have really bad action. Could you tell me what kind/style of softplastic baits (flukes, ribbontails, senkos, creatures) I should use as well as color, size, and how I should rig it. There are so many types of softplastics, what bait should I use in what scenario? Also should I use a hook or a plain jig or a skirted jig. I also fish for pike so colors and styles for pike fishing would be great too, as well as leaders for pike fishing that won't disturb the action of the bait. Thanks!
