My go-to bait is usually a spinnerbait but tonight I fished with soft plastics only and got "hooked" so to speak on them again. If for no other reason than they are tanks -- you can throw them anywhere without (much) worry. That and the sensitivity they afford are really great. I think I get more bites from them too...or at least can feel the bites I do get more. And, of course, they are way cheaper than the hard baits.
