  1. This is your normal Chevy vs Dodge vs Ford. I'm looking for someone who owned multiple different bass boats and will say what they liked and what they didn't like about it. Not looking for the "yep i owned 5 tritons and loved them all".
  2. Does anybody have any experience with skeeter boats that’s willing to give some advice? Specifically a 2014 skeeter zx21. Is there anything I should look for that these boats have issues with? This is going to be my first bass boat purchase. This boat from pictures to me looks to be very clean and only has 150 hours on the 4 stroke Yamaha 250 sho. I have them down to 34k. I’m moving from a 18ft deep v aluminum boat. Do these skeeters ride well in rough conditions? I mainly fish the Great Lakes and lake st Clair but on real windy days i can always switch it up and goto inland lakes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
  3. Want to hear feed back from boat owners that live on the Great Lakes. I live on the St.clair river and a stone throw form Lake St.Clair. Really looking into buying a bass boat and wanted to know the pros and cons of running/boat control on the big water.
  4. Hey guys, I am in the market for a bass boat. I am no expert on the boat market, so I figured I would ask the pros. I have a guy wanting to sell me his 1999 Skeeter ZX 202c. It’s a 22 foot boat, tandem axle trailer, Yamaha VMAX 200hp, some kind of fancy charging system, hydraulic steering, new tires on the trailer, Minn Kota trolling motor, two fish finders and is pretty good shape overall. Runs great and he says he has only had non ethanol gas in it. He he is asking $9000 for it. Any idea if this is a good deal or worth the investment? Anything I should look for in particular. Thanks in advance for the input!
  5. My husband & I are heading to lake erie (Presque isle) & we were wondering if any has taken their own bass boat there ? & if so, where is the best place to launch & fish for bass?
  6. Does anyone know what's involved in plumbing up my livewell so that I can pump water out the side hole where the bilge pumps water out? This would make filling my weigh bag a lot easier. I have a 1998 Skeeter ZX185C. Thanks
  7. Hello All Spring of 2017 I plan to purchase a new / slightly used bass boat. I need some help from everyone. Any insight would be very helpful on what you have owned along with any regrets you may have in your purchases. Currently I have a 2000 pro team 175. I 100% will not buy another aluminum boat. I am sick of getting blown all over on a breezy (not windy) day and lack of storage (especially rods) frustrates the hell out of me. This was my first boat and I have learned a lot from it about what I would like to have in a new boat. The biggest lakes I may fish once or twice a year would be Table Rock Lake or Lake of the Ozarks. Budget is between 30K- 40K. Any input on new vs. used, brand, size, engine mfg. and size, storage, electronics, accessories, features, and so on. I would prefer to stay 5 years or less on a used boat if possible. I do also fish several smaller lakes around my area that have an electric only motor requirement or idle only. I have fished a few tournaments over the last couple of years but would like to do more once I have something that can carry more gear and so on. I know this is fairly vague but I am curious to hear what everyone has to say about possible boats on the market today.
  8. i havent been here in awhile but i know alot of people replied on my last post about choosing my first boat. Well i finally got one. and after spending hours looking at boats i decided to go with a bigger boat i knew i wanted the storage and speed and size for tournaments. Well i came across an amazing deal and got a 2003 tzx 190 skeeter with a 175 yamaha hpdi. only 198 hours on the boat exactly and man bought it and sat it up but took great care of it. i was cautious and took it to a marine mechanic before buying and he said i should go to jail for the price i got it for. I worked really hard for this and was able to keep up all A's this quarter and work 40 hours a week. Just thought id update all of you that i finally got one! pics are below!
  9. So... got what i think is a good deal. Never owned a fishing boat, but have been dying to get my hands on one for quite some time. Has trolling motor. depth finder etc etc. it is garage kept, trailer is like new. hole package for little less than 3,000$ am i looking at a good deal? anything i should watch out for? taking pictures when i go to check it out next week, will try to post
