  1. Caught on the Chattahoochee River, Georgia. FISH ID? Have been debating with friends... is it a shoal bass or smallie?
  2. Caught this bass in a river near my house were the DNR has stocked shoal bass and some unknown entity illegally stocked smallmouth bass. Rumor has it the two species are breeding and creating "smoalies". I honestly have never caught a smallmouth and only recently started fishing for shoal bass, so it would be nice to know which one I just caught. I appreciate any help identifying this fish.
  3. Anybody here go after shoal bass often? I have been contemplating fishing for them on the Chattahoochee river but do not know much about them. Best advice I have found is to toss crayfish imitations in the same place you would fish for trout in the shoals. Also, what would you consider to be a trophy shoalie? What is the biggest you have ever caught?
