    what's up guys, basically I am conflicted between a 1000 and 2500 size reel... maybe even 2000 size but feel like might as well get the 2500 at that point. Anyway I don't fish spinning setups a ton but I'm wanting to get into it so I can take it to the creeks so for sure some smaller sun fish some rock bass and the occasional 2-3lb max smallmouth will be targeted as well. I just don't want having the 1000 to screw me out of a decent bass when it comes. going to put it on a 6'6 rod medium fast. wanting to use braid. thanks for anyone that has any advice.

    I'm currently looking at the Shimano Chronarch g but haven't had much luck finding reviews on it. does anyone have any thoughts on the Chronarch series and is it worth the extra money over the Curado series

    Hey guys, asking for some info regarding one of my bass setups. I have a Shimano Curado K (200 size), and I purchased it back in 2018. Overall, the reel is frustrating me a bit. I am pretty experienced with baitcasters, but I just cant dial this thing in. It throws larger cranks good and far, but when I go to 3/8oz jerkbaits, I get birds nests left and right. I'm a little confused because based on reviews im seeing, this reel should be handling these lures fine. I have it paired with 15lb Seaguar Red label, could it possibly be the line? I have to dial it so tight when I cast these lighter lures, I barely get any distance out of it. Also, if there is the slightest bit of wind, forget using this reel at all. Any thoughts here?

    For long time Shimano casting reel owners, how does high priced reels from the early 90s/2000s like the Core/Chronarch compare to cheaper reels today like Curado & SLX? I know the tech has made its way down the product line like DC, X-ship, MGL, but could a Curado 70 K today outcast a core 50? Is the SLX MGL better than a Chronarch D? I’m curious specifically about comparing build quality, cast distance, and quality/power of retrieve. Here is a list to get the ideas flowing. Caenan SLX , DC, MGL Curado, bantam , E, G, K Chronarch D, E, G, ci4, MGL Bantam MGL Aldebaren Core 50, 100 Metanium DC, MGL, B MGL Antares Surprise challenge: Can we have a topic like this without bringing up the whole Curado G vs Chronarch E thing ?‍♂️? Shimano dun messed up with that one. thanks!

    A week or 2 ago i was fishing with my buddy and we pulled on our line to compare the amount of tip on our rods since i had an extra heavy and he had a heavy but after a few light pulls of my line a few inches of the tip snapped off. Anyone know why?

    What do you guys think of this rod? Is there a specific model you'd use for crankbaits? I'm still looking for a crankbait rod, and I keep going back to the Cabelas Tournament ZX; but I haven't made a decision yet. Still lots of time to decide as I'm waiting for the next big sale.
