Upgraded electronics this year to a Lowrance that has the total scan Xducer. Not sure where to mount on the transom. Was thinking about the first "shelf" from the bottom where the current Xducer is located. OR the next "shelf" up where you can see one was located before. Since this is the long Xducer type I wasn't sure of it being on the first shelf since it would be beat by the water as it is longer an will catch more water when on plane. Or the second shelf as it would be better protected, but more chance of it being out of water at higher speeds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
