  1. We are now stocking Rage Magnum Bugs. Every color is in stock for $4.99 each. This is one sweet bait especially if you are wanting a bigger brother to the Rage Structure bug. Rage Magnum Bug We have also added Rage Swimmers in all the colors and Rage Baby Craw in pearl white.
  2. I ordered a St. Croix spinning rod over their website last week. I'm super stoked that it finally came in today. It's a 6' 10" medium xtra fast Rage rod. This is my second Rage. I needed a good rod for finesse applications and some other stuff. I love my other Rage, a 6' 8" casting rod, and St. Croix's selling them of for $89 a piece. I had to snag it up because it's such a great rod at such a good price. So I'm very glad the rod came. I also got a free hat, which was a plus. I can't wait to try this baby out. WOOHOO!!!!
  3. Ok gentlemen, I’ve heard so many things about Rage products being “All that!” that it’s gotten me thinking. I’ve seen others say that they even use Rage products 99% of the time. So below I have listed all of Rage’s products in the hopes that I can begin to understand a few things. What Rage products you use exactly? Your top 2 ways of rigging said product? Your top 2 fish producing fishing techniques/styles for said product? Your top 2 go to colors for each product that you use. Baby Rage Craw: Rage DB Craw: Rage Tail Craw: Rage Tail Lobster: Rage Cut R Worm: Rage Tail Recon Worm: Rage Tail Anaconda: Rage Thumper Worm: Rage Twin Tail Menace: Rage Tail Grub: Structure Bug: Rage Hawg: Rage Smokin’ Rooster: Rage Tail Lizard: Rage Tail Shad: Rage Tail Shellcracker: Rage Tail Space Monkey: Rage Tail Toad:
  4. So, I'm going to "expand" my lure purchasing beyond Bass Pro. I see all of ya'll talking about Siebert Outdoors and what not; what are some great websites to order good tackle from? I am going to look into Siebert Outdoors and hopefully buy a jig or two from there. I'm trying to figure out who(company wise) excels in what when it comes to spinnerbaits, jigs & cranks.
  5. I've decided that, for that the next three days I will disclose three new rigs I've discovered (two of which I've developed myself. Today's rig is the clackin octo. It consists of two senkos/ shim-e-sticks rigged at 90 degree angle from each other, in an octopus rig. Using a hook with a vertical line tie thread a short piece of line, say two inches long through the eye of the hook. Take 2 of the lightest brass casting sinkers you have. Tie one on one end of the line the sinker, then cut off extra line so it is now one inch long and loop it several times through the hook eye. Tie the other brass sinker to the other end of the line. If done correctly, you will have a octopus rig with two casting sinkers hanging from the hook eye. When you pop the line the sinkers clack against each other and, if done with light weights, will not impede the action of the worms. It is a way the fish this rig faster, with more audible appeal. I will post a pic of this later These are just the lightest weights I had, I would never use ones these heavy wire hooks with vertical line ties are the best, but those are hard to find, so usually I'll use the smallest moaner stroker-swimbait type hook (with the coil removed) I can, or use pliers to bend the line tie on soft siwash type hooks. I rig mine with zip tie not only to preserve the bait, but to keep it in an x shape. Japanese finesse anglers have been using octo rigs for a while, but i prefer it with o rings/zip ties because then the bait moves out the way (without ripping) when setting the hook. P.S. There is a trick to reusing zip ties; just jam a hook/ pin into the ratchet mechanism and pull out the cord. Today's tips: 1 try using shim-e-sticks instead of senkos, they are cheaper and more durable, with the same action. 2 When the head of your finesse worms get torn, cut off the head, take the end and heat it over a flame, and attach it to the head of any thin worms. As long as it is not wacky rigged, it is the tail that provides the action anyway, and therefore the action won't be impeded
  6. I had the great honor of fishing this morning with memphis's biggest bass fishing legend, second only to some furniture salesman named Bill Dance. Yes thats right Roadwarrior. We fished a very private pond , which I'm sure made all those grove park bass happy that they could eat in peace for a day. The day started off calm and early at 5 am when i struck first for the day with a pair of white cavitron buzz bait bass and missed a few more, while RW fished a rage tail on top like a buzz bait surprisingly unsuccessfully. After what little topwater bite there was died down, RW fished a lobster on a Stick'r rig and had a few bites but still had not put a fish in the boat :surprised: . I was getting worried. We were talking about all the big girls Big-O catches and how we wish there was some standing timber to pitch a rage hawg around just like Big-O does. About that time RW says "I just wanna be like Big-O" and ties on a Rage Hawg in Summer Craw with a half ounce weight and a razor sharp Moaner hook. Like I expected, he just started whacking some chunky bass with one worth a picture. I caught a few more on a worm but I was just trying to take in the experience. A storm chased us off but not before we did a little damage. Yep, TW is going to get an order for some rage hawgs pretty soon, not to mention I'm sitting on the edge of my seat for the icast rage introductions, y'all will love them!
